Last week I decided to get some "quotes and quotes only" for a secondary insurance or some type of coverage that's affordable and will cover IVF. I saw a few companies and filled out some info BUT changed my mind and thought I deleted the form.
That evening while cooking dinner, I get this call from one of the insurance co. We talked, he said they dont have any secondary coverage for IVF. Okay, no problem. I ended that call and continued cooking dinner.
I then received a second call from another agent!! We talked, blah blah blah. He said they had coverage but I would have to give up coverage that I already have. We continue our conversation. He tells me they have something they could offer at the price of $170/month with $125 down, something like that. Then he says, ok I need your SS# for identity purposes like ER visits, etc! I asked him why do I have to provide that now if I havent even OK'ed the insurance nor paid for it. Why did I ask that? This man got really rude and said " You said as long I can provide you with infertility coverage, you have no porblem talking!!! When he said that, I gave him a lil attitude back. I then told him I was done with our conversation and I was not interested. Before I could hang up, he was still "talking crazy"!!!
I was so tempted to call his boss/manager to report this man!!! But I couldn't have done that without getting "rude and ignorant"! I let it go. I have ebnough stress.

You're right, though - we just have to let it go at this point.
I also did the insurance look and wasn't able to find anything. Try looking for study's in and around your area. I found a few up in the North East but don't qualify since it is my third IVF. Luckily the first two were covered by my company's insurance. This one is out of pocket. DH has become over protective. He even hid the vacuum on me so that I wouldn't try using it during the 2WW.
