I am here to say....to make it clear....that, at least to me, my BFP felt exactly like I was getting AF. In fact, I was sure - as in 150% sure - that the IVF cycle did not work and there was no way I could be pregnant. So I wanted to write this because I searched everyone on the internet to see if women really thought they were getting their period but ended up pregnant. I found some answers but not a lot. so here it is: YES, it feels exactly the same (or it can, as it did for me).

the moral of this store - never, ever lose hope.

you're welcome. I find so much strength is knowing other people's stories - symptoms, feelings, etc. I wanted to share mine. when did you do your transfer? how many embryos? GOOD LUCK. I won't tell you to stay calm, but I will say to stay busy!

I will second what bgs4444 said - I had PMS type cramping, tiredness, all my typical PMS symptoms, it's just that AF never came. The cramping lasted for weeks, off and on, but felt exactly like PMS cramping. Hubby would get excited that I hadn't started yet, but it felt so much like PMS that I kept telling him that we weren't preg, that AF was just late.

Hey! I'm doing ok just having some cramping since yesterday off and on and low back pain. But my boobs aren't sore anymore and has me a little worried. My beta is Next Friday Oct. 4th. I can see POAS in the future haha :) I sure hope it worked this time...

Sorry to respond late. I've only been on here briefly the last week. I'm trying to forget about the TWW :)

I didn't have a transfer. We were supposed to begin IVF, but can't due to cost. Our state does cover treatment (only state that does), but self insured companies do not. So after we got the "unexplained infertility" news, we deiced to just keep trying on our own. I do acupuncture now, so that's my only hope. Technically AF is due Wednesday, but I have a feeling it will be a 28 day cycle instead of my usual 24, since I ovulated a bit late this month (which is a good thing). So far I'm keeping my cool. It's the first month I have actually been able to keep my cool!

How are you feeling/doing?? I hope you are having the best pregnancy ever!!
