I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Before I did infertility drugs my periods were just periods. No real pain. After having taken clomid, gonal F and Follistim on the first day of my period I feel like all of my woman parts want to fall out. My whole body goes pretty numb it is so painful. If I am out on that day sometimes I have to stop mid walk and wait for the pain to subside. Just wondering if anyone else's periods have changed or remained the same after having taken fertility drugs.

I havent taken fertility drugs yet but I have noticed that the older I get the more painful they are the past six months have been the worst for me

I've always had cramps and sore boobs with my period, but when I'm on Gonal F - LOOK OUT. It hurts to even move. Going pee is the worst. But it only lasts about 2-3 days for me. When I am not on the drugs, I do not have that reaction.

I've always had painful periods, but I find that they're NOT as bad when I'm on fertility meds. When I'm NOT on meds - there are days I can't get out of bed, and feel sick to my stomach - oh, the joys of endometriosis!

Ya before when i did have a cycle [skipped a lot] they were fine not that painful. Now after being on Clomid for 3 months i get VERY bad cramps. Also TMI but i have noticed i cant wear tampons on my heavy days they cause me cramps for some reason. Before i never had that problem. So ya changed for me.

I am with Jenn17 Oh the joys of endo...
I always have pain... my last cycle which was natural after an ivf cycle was the worst i have had in a while.... I took depo provera before ttc just to be able to live life normally

i too always have pain with my periods. but when i was on clomid it was out of control. the last couple months at 250 mgs were the worst. i thought they would get slightly better after i stopped taking it, but the pain carried over to the last to cylces too. you know.. i have never got around to asking my doctor is this is normal, or ok to have that much pain. hmm. might have to ask... if you ask your doc let me know!

ovulation was definitely more painful. And walking around with giant ovaries was very painful - like rocks rattling around in my lower abdomen! I don't think the actual period was more painful though.

Believe it or not, my cycles were a bit lighter after the fertility meds, especially easy after doing BCP for a cyst. I think it varies for a lot of people, my breasts were way more tender with the fertility meds cycles.

Mine have stayed the same, unfortunately. Still horrendous.

My periods have been horrible since the day they began. Lots of pain and blood loss. The fertility meds made them be off schedule and gave me sore boobs but the pain has stayed the same.

I have always had painful periods (diagnosed with dismenorrhea), but when I have noticed that my periods are much longer, more bleeding, and clotty when on fertility meds, especially when I have done IVF and FETs. I think it is because our lining gets so much thicker and has to shed itself.

I'm with some of the other ladies...my periods were lighter on the fertility meds.
