So I have an IUI scheduled for Monday morning and when I POAS this morning my 2 lines were fading.Does that mean I ovulated already? Out of 7 tests I took only 1 came up dark lines (at night)I had called my dr that day and told him by that night I should have 2 dark lines)The nurse told me that I dont have to test twice.I told her that since I am doing an IUI wo meds that isn't timing everything.Well then the next morning the lines started to fade.Already?I always get at least a few tests that stay dark. I am SERIOUSLY thinking about switching drs. He said he couldn't do it this weekend.Thanks doc way to ruin my chances.We were supposed to do 2 also.I took a whole week of work off so I can recoup.When I asked the nurse she told me she didnt even know what I was talking about. Get it together people this is my whole life and my nerves are shot.He didn't give me an u/s this time, no meds ,no attention,no sperm count,but he sure did take my money.Whats the chances of switching drs and starting where I left off with him?
Feeling frustrated today ladies.What can I do?How can he tell if I am still ovulating?I am not spending 800 for nothing!

Sorry to hear that! How infuriating!

I am new to using the OPK's, the smiley face was easy to read but I only got one day where it showed up. Doesn't it mean that you ovulate in 24-36 hours after the LH surge? Could you do an IUI tomorrow?

I switched from my regular Ob/Gyn to an RE this summer and she pretty much took the copies of everything from the other office and just started right where we left off. Maybe a new doctor will be your best bet. Praying for your BFP very soon!

Hey Nanda - I am thoroughly confused..... my RE never had me POAS to check ovulation.... I did a bunch of b'w and 1/2 u/s's .
I'm hoping that you haven't missed the window, i know it is soooooo much more expensive but I always used the smiley face OPK's, I just couldn't deal with the trying to figure out the lines - probably because I was crap at it!!!!

Hope that this goes well - and a BFP follows shortly.

Hey Amanda! Are you seeing an RE or your OBGYN?..I would definitely change doctors. I know how frustrating this is to you and your husband and the money it cost will kill you at times. He should be monitoring you better than that,Its almost like he is taking "your" word for when you are ovulating. IUI's need to be done between a certain amount of time for them to work correctly. I know your not on meds but it seems to me like he would do bloodwork and U/S so atleast he could tell you EXACTLY when you need to do an IUI. Especially when you are paying for 2 this month!!..I know you dont want to start all over in the process, but if he isnt timing things well then it may not work anyway. I dont mean to make you worry..and I'm sorry if I am but I would check around and see about just moving your patient info to another place if possible and even if they wont, the day after my bloodwork came back my doctor went ahead and prescribed my meds and everything. It also bothers me that your doctoe wont listen to you about wanting to do meds/IUI. It is your body...and you guys have been trying for longer than a year, so I dont see what the problem is. As far as OPK's go...I am unable to use them anymore because they seem to show VERY dark alot longer than 24-48 hrs on me..not sure why..but they do..lol! Good luck girl!
