Hello everyone! It's been a very long time since I last posted a message. I felt drawn to share some info. after my husband and I stopped seeking IVF treatment.
Just a bit of background, I was diagnosed with DOR due to a high FSH level. I had started 2 cycles of IVF which were both cancelled early on because I was not developing any follicles. My doc basically told me to seek an egg donor or adoption.
Well, we were not ready to give up that easily! As we started to focus on a healthier lifestyle to improve our situation, I came across info. about NaPro (natural procreation) Technology and THE GIANNA CENTER: A Women's Healthcare Facility in Manhattan. I met with wonderful doctors that helped me maximize my potential to conceive by taking care of the bodily issues at hand. For instance, I have been taking estrogen and progesterone which were NEVER prescribed to me beforehand and my hormone levels have been regular. My FSH reached a low of 3.2 after having been as high as 61!!
I guess my reason for sharing is for those who may have or continue to encounter doctors who are not taking care of the bodily issues first hand, instead they're so quick to start injection meds when they know your body is NOT in a position to respond.
