First of all, you must stop with the negativity and blaming yourself. You are only 23 years old. I'm 37. I just finished my second IVF and am now pregnant. Not to minimize it, but IVF really isn't a big deal. I was petrified of it at first, but after the first cycle, I was like "this wasn't so bad". the emotional part of it is worse than the physical part of it. What helped me was the change in attitude I had. I was so resentful of everyone who was pregnant, and believe me, there are a lot of people around me. I feel like once I accepted what I had to deal with and developed a differet attitude (with a lot of soul searching and analyzing and sadness etc.), is when it happened. It was a conscious decision to change my attitude, but after a long time, it did happen.

No doubt it is hard to be happy for others, and people who have not gone through what we're going through say stupid shit and have absolutely no idea, but claim to. You and your husband will have your child. Please don't blame yourself for not being able to give him a child, and for God's sake, please don't say you want to die. Learn how to deal with the hand that's been dealt to you, stay as positive as you can and you will be taken care of. It's happened to me in many aspects of my life. I'm not a real religious person by any means, but I do believe God takes care of you.

As I said Im not normally this negative. This was my first post and was just looking for some support.

I am so sorry you are having such a rough day. Those days are always the toughest. You know, we all have the days when we don't feel like getting out of bed. I know IVF is not always an option for everyone but miracles do happen. I hope that you get to feeling better! BIG HUGS!!!

I totally understand why you'd feel that way. It's so hard to see others get pregnant so easily. We were COMPLETELY devastated when we learned that IVF was our only option. It's such a scary thing to think about doing. A lot of people say that it's not that big of a deal to do IVF, but it was a very big deal for us. Especially since we had to pay for the entire thing. It took us a year of thinking/praying to actually do it. That being said I'm glad we made the decision to do it. Miscarrying our "IVF baby" was horrible, but we're trying again with frozen embryos and feeling hopeful.

Everything gets a little easier with time. I hope you're feeling better soon.

I am sorry you are having a hard day. It is so hard to keep hearing about other people getting pregnant when we are struggling to. It is not that it is not a happy occasion for them, but it just reminds us of what we don't have that we so badly want and makes us feel uncomfortable around the people we are closest to when they are in happy pregnancy land and we are hurting so much. The way you are feeling is completely normal. I hope in time you pain eases and your day to be pregnant is not too far behind theirs.

IF is heartbreaking and so hard to deal with especially when everyone else is getting pregnant around you. IVF is expensive if you don't have the insurance, but at least it is an option. Don't give up. Hang in there. You'll get your baby someday.

I know you must be heartbroken. I am so sorry I know I felt the same way last year when a so called friend got pregnant with her 5th child at the age of 22. She had no problems at all conceiving but she sure can't support them. My heart breaks for those children. I hope you get the miracle you truly deserve. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

As a follow up to my earlier post, I said that it "was" a conscious decision to change the way I felt. Correction, it "was not" a conscious decision. I only wish it was that easy. We all have our up and down days. My post was not to chastize you (so I'm super sorry if it came across that way), I just know how you feel, as I've been there, and just don't want you to blame yourself. :)

I am so sorry, I have had many of those days where your just want to crawl under a rock!!! I to have a sister in law who got pregnant and made the BIG anouncement just 4 days after we lost our THIRD pregnancy. I truely felt like this was the end of the world. That is all my in laws talked about everytime we got together and I could not Believe how insensitive they were to me and my husband.

I know this doesn't help at the moment but IT WILL GET BETTER and DO NOT give up hope!

I am so sorry that you are feeling so down, I kno how overwhelming this all can be. Please dont blame yourself and dont feel guilty about not being able to conceive on your own. I went through several years of blaming myself and was so miserable. I never in a million years thought I would have to go down the road of IVF, but its honestly not that bad. If nothing else, I feel lucky to love in a time where there is such wonderful technology in assisted reproduction and to have options. Dont think I am saying this is easy, because as you know its not. This whole thing sucks and I can completely empathize with what you feel, especially when your friends and family get pregnant (with seconds, thirds, etc) and you are still struggling for your first. Try and keep your chin up and look at some of the positives, I know its hard sometimes when you feel so alone but know that we are all here to support you through this. Someday you will be a mommy, try and keep your eye on the prize! Good luck to you. :)

im so sorry hun. i know it's tough when everyone around you is getting pregnant. take some time to grieve this and then come up with a plan. you can do this. hang in there!

I am so sorry to hear about your stuggles with IF. I found out at 27 that IVF was the only option and felt devastated, sad and lonely. Since then I have watched so many people in my life go through pregnancy and childbirth and still waiting for my time. It is hard and sad but do not give up hope. When your time comes you will just cherish it that much more.
