Hi everyone. My husband and I have been trying for a year and a half. I found out I had stage 4 endometriosis in July of 2016. Surgery and countless blood draws, ultrasounds and medication later, still no baby. I'm trying really hard to stay hopeful but it's so hard. My husband's a type 1 diabetic and with my endo it just is starting to feel like an impossible dream. I joined because I've never felt as alone as I do right now in my life. Infertility is this nasty mistress that likes to insert herself into every aspect of your life. Every month I just feel the life that I've always wanted slipping further away.

Hey there! Welcome!! I also recently found out I have endometriosis and it stinks. Not only has conceiving been difficult, but the frequent Endo pain is another constant reminder. Stay strong, keep fighting for your goal of being a mom!! You can do this!

Hi, I just joined today. I am afraid to share my story here as I do not want others to here my story and become discouraged or to loose hope. However, my hope is that there are others out there that might share my experiences with this and that we would be able to support one another. That is all I am willing to share now so, If there are other women out there that understand feel free to share with me.

Hi, I am really sorry. Have you considered undergoing IVF? Myself I know a few ladies who conceived via IVF, or IVF PGS NGS or with donor eggs. Good luck!

I just don't think IVF is something I could ever afford. I admire people who go through it, because it seems like such a difficult experience, but I don't think I could do it. We've honestly talked more about adoption than anything else.

I also can't afford IVF or adoption. All my friends have disappeared, busy raising their babies. The guilt, failure, shame, feelings of inadequacy, fear of the future. These are insidious. I just joined the site today and hope to start feeling less isolated and alone. Like I'm on the outside of the world looking in. Like I don't belong. I don't know what a childless marriage life will look like. I'm absolutely terrified that I'll never be able to come to terms with it.

Sara, I completely understand. I try to convince myself that a life without kids can’t be that bad, but I think about holidays as I get older, no kids, no grandkids, where do I go? What do I do? I’m not sure if I can handle a life without that family. You aren’t alone!
