I’ve recently gone through a failed IVF. I’m at a point where I’m lost.

Hi, I am sorry you are going through this. Myself I know a few ladies with unexplained, and I recommend finding a doc with specialization in the area of unexplained infertility and consulting them. Karyotyping and PGS NGS might be also solutions that boost your chances. x

Hi ladies. I just found out Monday that my IVF cycle failed. I am destroyed. I also went through 2 failed IUIs in March and April. November of 2018 I got pregnant Naturally and ended up having an unexplained Miscarriage at 5 months. I was completely lost and went into a depression. I feel that coming on again now that I got the bad news. We don’t have the money for another IVF cycle now and unfortunately I do not have any frozen embryos. We had 2 transferred, but both didn’t stick. I don’t know what is next to do. I want to start my family already :(

What you're going through really resonates with me. We had 2 failed rounds of IUI as well- followed by months of battling the insurance company before finally moving on to IVF this month... I honestly have never cried to strangers as I did pleading with my insurance provider not stand in the way of my chance for a family.

In our case, I ended up finding an in-network clinic through an upgraded insurance plan. It was very unsettling switching doctors 2 years into the process, in the middle of COVID no less- and I don't really love the new one... but at least we have a chance.

Ash - I am sorry to read your story. I would recommend visiting your doc to find out more about the reasons. It seems you might have issues with genetics, and karyotyping might clarify your situation. In case your eggs are the issue, mesotherapy treatment to ovaries might boost your chances of getting pregnant. Good luck x

I am so sorry, and I am right here with you! we have been trying since 2014, and started IVF in 2018. It is 2020, we have been through natural pregnancy that I lost about 2 months in, 2 IVF egg retrievals and 2 FETs and still have not had any good luck and only a sense of loss for everyone that hasn't stayed with me. I have been battling anger, depression, guilt, sadness... The list could go on. I have to fight every day not to fall pray to the feeling that I did something wrong and I am being punished for something. I am so sorry if any of these feelings have hit you! What I have done that has helped (it hasn't made any of these feelings go away but it has helped keep them at bay and given me strength.) I keep a journal about everything I have been through trying to reach for my children that I know are out there just waiting to find their way to me. I write it as if I am writing to my baby. I was able to find some people that have had similar problems and talking to them really helps. Last, I recently figured out that being more public and sharing with friends and family has been very helpful, they have helped give me strength to keep going. I hope something I said helps, even in the slightest bc this process is awful and we need all the support we can get. Good luck!

It's so much hard to find right words to comfort you, honey. I'm so sorry you're going through this roller coaster. I'm not new to it myself. Alll my family has been supportive all way through. My husband is an exclusive rock of support for me. Together we've already been through 4 failed IVF cycles with own eggs. (We live in the UK, so the costs can't be called ''affordable''.) We have already paid out of the pocket and got nothing. Discussed all this in a family and decided to switch the clinic. This time went abroad, where our new doc told us there's too little chance my body will hold the embie up to the term.. (All my previous shots ended with early mc). All we agreed to surrogacy with own eggs, though we had to take a loan for this purpose..
I know this struggle is all demanding. I know at times it seems you've got no more strength to move on. I know it hearts to look forward and then get nothing. All this pains. But I truly believe it's better to regret about things done than things undone.

Dear @LKS12345, I'm sorry you're facing hard times. I understand all the concerns connected with switching the docs after 2 yrs of cooperation. But I believe it's done for better. We all look for more effective ways as following treatment plans has never been cheap. We switched clinics too. Mainly because we lost trust for it and the previous doc..Also had to fly overseas for more reasonable prices. This time we're trying luck with OE surrogacy. Our new doc told us my body isn't able to carry the baby to the term. So here we go.. hand by had with the covid nightmare..

BeccaBecca -I am sorry you are going through this. Indeed, IVF clinics in USA get the highest success rates, but they are also the most expensive. European clinics get excellent results, and offer affordable treatment, as well. A few friends of mine (I am also considering) underwent treatment in Europe and were happy with results they got. Some time ago I was recommended doing all things which prego women do – living healthy life. This was the best advice ever! Though I’ve been prego so many times but all they ended in miscarraiges – I knew I was doing right, this way keeping my eggs healthy..for coming surrogacy plan.
