I just had laparoscopic surgery done today for my endometriosis and I'm having horrible gas pains. I know alot of you have had this procedure done and I just wanted some suggestions on how to get rid of it! The hospital nurses told me to walk as much as I could but that does not seem to be helping. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

ugh...I remember that feeling..walking was the best...also...I wore some spandex biking shorts...they seemed to offer a lot of support, and that helped with the discomfort...drinking herbal tea helped some...and a nice easy massage on the back helped those yucky gas pockets.

Either stand/walk or lay FLAT on your back. If I propped my head up, even on one slim pillow to see the tv, the gas pain was HORRIBLE. If I stayed completely flat, or standing up, it was fine. Sitting up, or at all propped was terrible.
Heating pads were also good. Mostly, I just made sure to stay flat and get up and walk a lot.

Thanks for all the advice. The heating pad has worked wonders and today is much better than yesterday:)
