I know how disappointing it is when you get your period. I've been there, as have all the women in this group I'm sure.

Did you see a RE or was this your PCP or OB/GYN? What tests did your doctor already do? Were they actually fertility tests or other stuff? There are tons of tests you can get and things you can do to help conceive - from checking your hormone levels to changing your diet. Just read through some of these topics on this forum and you'll find lots of helpful information.

Well, first of all I would recommend seeing an RE (Reproductive Endcronologist). This is a doctor who specializes in infertility. Has your husband been tested? Have you had an HSG? These are all important tests to have done. Unfortunetly, some people are just unexplained IF. Have you been on any meds? Clomid is usually the first med you are put on. It is an oral fertility pill to help you produce multiple follicles. I hope this helps some. If you want to talk, just let me know.

It's never easy. We tried on our own for over a year and then began treatment. Every period took so much away from me. My DH and I sat down and had a very good heart to heart and truly had to accept and be open to all that may happen. We had to face that treatment is not an absolute. They can only control so much.
There is a ton that you can do to increase your chances of pregnancy. There are also lots of tests to see if there are any abnormalities with you or your DH.
For us the tests didn't matter. We have unexplained secondary infertility.

I know exactly how you feel. I've felt like that for two years and it sucks. Everytime I get my period I would feel angry and hopeless, but the next day I would snap out of it and looked at it as another month to try. I have come to realize that patience is a virtue and prayers work. Good luck with everything.

I know exactly how you feel. I am going through this as well. Same story. All of the tests for me and my husband came back normal. What is they mystery. Why. These are all questions I asked. Sometimes couples have unexplained infertility. Just hang in there and be patient. Don't stress because it makes it worse. Did your doctor test to see if you were ovulating? Do you have normal cycles? Hope all goes well. Just pray.

I woundering if you have ever tried the fertlity monitors. It may help let you know when the best time to try is. Also I have a friend who tried for over three years and justed has a healthy baby boy so hang in there. I will pray for you. Good luck

I get so worked up about the 2ww that by the time AF comes, I'm thrilled to start trying again and be done with the waiting. I know...I'm weird.

If you have been trying for over a year, it's time to see a specialist. Your regular ob may have run tests, but they aren't as thorough as an RE, and an RE will test your DH too to ensure there are no complications with him.
