As for the baby shower issue, the only thing I can tell you is that if you feel like you can't handle it, don't go, and do feel guilty about it. You can always send a gift card. If you do decide to go then you are entitled to any feelings you have. No matter what you decide you are an amazing and strong person. I hope you don't have to worry about this at all.
Happy Halloween, wishing you all treats and no tricks!
I had went to many baby showers and also had been asked when are you going to have one of these. I know it is hard to keep a smile on your face but remember we are here for you and though you have to be at the shower with all those questions you will have us to fall back on when it is all over. I hope though that you have great news for yourself. Good Luck.
Keep us posted!!!

I agree with Suzanne... if it's going to be too much for you... don't go. If you don't go... you can always write your feelings down in a letter for your sis to read right before the shower starts. I guess I'd write something like... even though you can't be there to share this moment with her... let her know that you are thinking about her, love her, and are happy for her... just put exactly how you feel. If you think you can handle it... go and be as strong as you can be. You could get there late, leave early OR the famous... let's meet up to celebrate for dinner. Either her house/yours/ or a restaraunt. I think you could get creative on how to show her she's (and the baby are) special and still protect yourself. These are some of my tricks.
