I'm not making light of this situation. But I cannot believe that I would have to go through this to have children. We're 7 years married and thought that after 5 years we'll just be able to get pregnant (insert finger snap here) "like that". Always had painful periods since they started (I was 11). Fast forward 24 years, an elective myomectomy in January 2008, then a followup HSG in 6 months igniting a pelving infection that kept me in the hospital for 28 days in September 2008. Then an ovarian cyst that took over my left ovary that it had to be removed January 2009. I have a cyst on my right ovary right now that they tried to remove without surgery (oh, did I mention I have stage 4 endometriosis?). Just came back from the interventional radiologist who looked hopeful, but after the first CAT scan, came out and said "there's no way I can get to that cyst". The ball is back in my RE expert's court. Its almost comical at this point. I'm 38 and I'm scared of going under the knife again. With my propensity to scar and keloid. I have so many adhesions, surgeons tried to operate laproscopically with no luck. I can't tell you how I'm feeling. I need more hope and more strength. I can't help but think that the Lord is testing my faith in Him. I believe in Him. I do. But does it mean my faith is shaking if I'm scared of not being able to have children. Anyone else in NJ having these issues? I'm with a really nice RE now, but he left me a message that he wants to schedule surgery. I need advice, I need a hug, I need a spare ovary (heheh). Oh, my FSH indicate that I may need donor eggs.
Its really like a bad novel.
