So, we've been having unprotected sex for a little over 2 years now. I have always known that I couldn't have kids (a gut feeling starting at age 15), but a little over a year ago I found out I had PCOS and my nightmares started becoming my reality. My husband doesn't understand why I'm so depressed about it. To him we still have plenty of time and it'll happen eventually. All I can think about is the time that is passing that is growing longer and longer without a family. I see all these girls complain because they have 3+ kids and are younger than 25. They all want to go out or see the world and feel stuck. What I wouldn't give to have the ability to not only get pregnant by accident, but to have that happen multiple times. I have friends having babies everywhere and family constantly asking when it will be our turn. I just don't know how much longer I can keep dealing with it like this. I feel dead inside.
I don't believe in god, so I don't believe it when people tell me it'll happen when it is supposed to. I'm only 21. I shouldn't be having to deal with this at all. Much less the thought that I might never get to birth children. I know I'm young to feel like it's ending so soon, but I can't help but eel like there is more wrong and that soon my biological clock will soon stop. My husband is 36 and not getting any younger. I'm so worried we will go through all of this and it never work, finally decide to adopt, and then he's almost 50 and too tired to be able to keep up with the demands of having children.
My mother in law keeps telling people I hate her and that's why I haven't given her any grandkids (even though she has 2 from her daughter). She even knows that we're having troubles conceiving and that it may never happen. Everyone is so callous about it and my husband never corrects them. I know it's because I'm the first person out of both of our families to have problems. However, I feel like it should be common sense to not say rude things about my inability to produce children.
Sorry this has gone on so long, I just don't really have anyone else to talk to and this mother's day is really hitting me hard today. I'm the only women at my job who isn't off today, because everyone else has kids. I think I need to go seek some professional help for the depression this is bringing out in me.

It feels like everyone around us is expecting and it's hard. I really don't think people outside of this group have any idea how much it hurts everyday and how much we cry when no one is around. It's a good group. Hopefully you find some insights here!
