My husband and I have been trying for over four and a half years now. I've been treated with lots of hormones and six IUI's Not a single pregnancy to show for it. They can't even tell us why really. There's some female factors but nothing so major that I shouldn't be getting pregnant at all. It's a difficult feeling to process.
I've gone through turns of wondering what I'm doing wrong and feeling completely and utterly betrayed by my own anatomy. It's isolating. It's also an extremely normal thing to feel with infertility.
The fact is, I've done nothing wrong and neither have you. Sometimes biologically we either just have bad luck or draw the short of the stick. Sometimes both. It's difficult to quantify that feeling of helplessness and loss that comes with unexplained fertility issues.
You're definitely not alone in this struggle. Do what you have to do to get yourself through this and know that taking care of yourself is okay. Just take it one day at a time and know that everything will be okay.
