Everything you are feeling is normal when you are going through this, it wasnt until joining this group that I realized how not alone I was. For some reason, its taboo to talk about. The "what if" we cant get pregnant. Nobody ever talked about that when I was growing up. It was like you just assume its going to happen with no problems. But then, it doesnt. Its a huge emotional rollercoaster, and you really dont understand it unless you are on the ride. I always get stuck on the people who get pregnant when they arent even really trying, or trying very long... what a blessing that is and they dont even know it. I had a good friend of mine do the same thing your sister did... "i know exactly how you feel" well, no you dont... you got pregnant a month after stopping birthcontrol... so you have no idea. infuriating. Now I dont talk to her about what we're going through because she truly does not understand.
Welcome to the group, I hope you find peace here.. I know its helped me. Message me anytime.
FB is the worst when trying to get pregnant. I found it so painful while I was going through treatment I deleted my account as well.
Have you been to an infertility specialist? I found what helped me was to have a plan to move forward in terms of trying to get pregnant.
Let me know if you have any questions. You will find support here.
I am new to dailystrength.org as well. I just read your post and like many other women that have already responded, I feel the very same way. I have also had to delete Facebook, I have people telling me "just go have sex with your husband" like it's so easy. 90% of people have no comprehension of infertility and the toll it takes on your emotions.
I am a registered nurse and there are 11 people that I know and work with who are pregnant. It seems like every week there is another birth announcment from someone who has only been trying to conceive for 1 month. Most of the time I feel sorry for myself and try to avoid those people at all costs.
I feel your pain and anguish and I wish you the very best of luck in your journey.
I am new to this- I have never reached out until now. I am in year 13. We have had 2 failed IUIs 6 years of naturopath / acupuncture medicine, 4 years of "taking a break" and letting God do His thing through us and the last 2&1/2 with 6 failed IVfs and 2 failed donor embryo failed transfers. I have had every test know to medicine aside from taking my uterus completely out and inspecting it :( No immunoligical issues, no fallopian issues, no PCOS, no endometriosis, no ovulation or cycle issues, lining is always perfect 12 to 16. Ijust don't understand. My doctor today said he will let me go one more time but the donor parents trusted him with a good home and he feels a responsibility to give them to a viable subject that will be able to give birth to these little ones, maybe I should consider adoption. I am heart broken!!!! I don't even know how to feel- completely like a failure and incompetent as a woman. There is no one to talk to. My husband is very disappointed but reality is that he has a 26 and 22 year old. He desperately wants little ones with me but the reality is- he already has 2.... I am just devastated. I eat organic, stay relatively fit, 5"9 and 160 I run my own business for 17 years so I can care for and love and nuture the little one- I even set up the baby room when we went to donor embryos in expectation.... Sorry for the ramble- at a loss- thank you! Many blessings to all of you and I send lots of hugs and love to you!
