I hope that everyone had a good holiday (although I'm sure it was hard/emotional.)

I started lupron on Christmas Eve and ever since I have had light/mod spotting (TMI...sorry) I was reading online that this is fairly common but I am always skeptical of things I read online so I was wondering if any of you have had the same? Also, I go on Friday for u/s and labs to hopefully start my stims and RE said I should be "bleeding" by then. Should I expect a full period of a lighter one due to the lupron? I've never wanted AF to come more than I do right now!

I can't asnwer since I've never been on lupron...but saying that I am starting my next IVF cycle using lupron and BCP's for 21 days, then I get AF, then I start stims. I'm curious to what lupron is like - any side effects, etc.?

I also did microdose Lupron during my ivf. The only side effects I had were that my eyes got super dry and I lost my appetite almost completely. It also calmed my ovaries down a lot and I felt better than I think I ever had.

I did get a period while I was on Lupron. My periods are usually very long, very painful, and very bloody. The one I had with Lupron was very short - I think it was about two days. It was painful, but not as much as usual. And it was more clotty than normal (tmi sorry not sorry), but overall I'd say lighter.

Truth be told - I kind of wish I could take it every day!

Thanks for the feedback kDeezy, I've still yet to get a period but I'd be ok with a two day one too!! I've had spotting almost every other day (pretty annoying!), and they pushed my baseline back to Monday....I hope no AF doesn't mean pushing back the IVF...I'm so anxious!

Jat092311 I have had SUPER bad headaches and dry skin since starting the lupron. I also have noticed the belly bulge that I seem to get with any injectable (but for me it goes away once I stop.)

For some reason I'm having a "blue" day and the whole IF thing is making me super emotional. I've been pretty positive through the holidays so maybe it's just my meltdown coming late (or hopefully a clear sign that AF is coming?!).

hi I'm so glad you've asked this question. I am having Buserelin injections (ive heard its the same as lupron) and Im late for my period. Im starting to get worried because i keep hearing that its not a good sign. I have all the symptoms!! hot flushes, tired, feel sick and no appetite.(every now and again i get peckish but all food makes me feel sick) let me know how you are getting along if you dont mind. hope its all going well for you.

Gemmurray I'm just seeing this...I ended up getting AF 2 days later so I was able to start stims just a few days later than expected.
