Hi Oceangirl829, Has your fertility doc given you a diagnosis or more information about why you haven't been able to conceive? My fertility doctor prescribed Metformin to help me ovulate, however, I've always had abnormal periods. Reason why I ask if your doctor gave you any other information is because I'm wondering if it may be your weight. My doctor said Metformin would also help me with my weight so I'm wondering if that is a factor in your situation. My doc wanted me down to 150 and I'm 5' 3". I totally get what you are saying about feeling lonely, I broke down this weekend and had to give myself permission to cry. It's the hardest news I've ever had to deal with and it's killing me inside because my doctor told me that my husband and I have a .02% chance of having a baby naturally. My husband is very supportive, but also doesn't like me beating myself up. I've wanted a baby all my life and now I find out I cant have a baby naturally and I feel like my body betrayed me. You are not alone with the way you are feeling. You are a lot younger than I am, I just turned 40. It's heart breaking really anyway you slice it. Try to get more information from your doctor. Thank you for responding Nadine!! At first my doctor mentioned the idea that i might have PCOS... but after some testing he never confirmed it and never brought it up again. I have normal periods, my blood tests were all pretty normal and my husbands tests were perfect. I'm not sure if weight is an issue ... I'm around 150 5'2" ... when we stared trying I was very active and healthy but I think the last two or three months I've given up on caring what I put into my body. This cycle I have hope that maybe I can change my lifestyle around and eat better and be more active. And for future cycles as well. Doctors look at women my age and don't worry as much because we're so young. But I'm glad to find this out at a young age instead of down the road. I have a doctors appointment in a month to discuss further options. I wish the best to you as well! This is a very hard thing to go through.

It sounds like you're in a similar situation - I've also been doing IUI with clomid and cry alone in the car! I'm also private and sometimes I don't even want to share how I feel wth my husband, and friends don't always get it. But you're not alone! It's not easy to go through this. Who would ever think they'd be in this situation? I don't know about you, but I spent years trying NOT to get pregnant. The irony. Ugh. It's hard. If you ever want to talk let me know. I am in the same boat. I am 28 my husband is 29. I finally decided to join a group to talk about the feelings and all. And it does suck seeing your friends pregnant and not knowing why you haven't conceived. Just recently I've had a transvaginal ultrasound done( everything is normal, I do have some cyst but my doc said this is normal) my husband had a complete sperm anylisis done and that is normal. Next step is a HSG test for me and after that if all is normal I will have clomid up to two months. My doc also said if that doesn't work then I will have to see a specialist yet I don't know if I feel I want too. I feel like a rat lab with all these tests. I have told my husband if it comes down to it we may try IUI but I am not for the IVF. Just personal feelings with not wanting to do it for my beliefs. Plus the price as we all know is crazy. In the future we will see but we both want to try this clomid and if nothing we will put a date aside and if it hasn't happened we may adopt which is also crazy expensive I know. It's so nice to hear from girls that are in the same position. I feel like every time I look for answers in Google I can never find someone in the same position. My next step is an HSG test which will most likely happen next month. But my doctor told me I can go to a specialist but we looked into it and although my insurance does have good infertility coverage- there are non "in-network" offices near us so therefore going to a specialist will cost us a lot of money out of pocket. The doctor I'm going to now will only do clomid and then the hsg. I've never asked about an iui. That might be my next step. Close friends really don't understand what I am going through, they always just tell me it'll happen when the time is right. And all I keep thinking is it may NOT happen. I think if the clomid continues to not work then I will take a more natural approach. I've also told my husband that I don't think I can do all this blood work and take all this medicine for years. It's a terrible feeling. Cloud hasn't helped me yet ( but I do ovulate on my own already). Ugh the emotions! But it's nice to know we all have support!

Same here girl! So far my infertility is unknown. I ovulate normally as well. I have read blogs that say the HSG test helped people to conceive (or so they think) that would be So great if true. Does make sense because the dye is "clearing" out the tubes. I've had all blood work for my hormones and all have been normal limits. Fingers crossed!! Prayers for you!

Hopefully everything is fine inside with the test and the clomid works!! I will keep you updated after I have the test! I'll let you know how it feels and all. I am a nurse and know some but not when it comes to fertility. So far I am a day late for my period today but I'm afraid to even think what if and have my heart broken again. Keep your faith and head up!!

Emotions and hormones suck!!! Sorry i just had to put that out there! I'm on my 2nd day of the emotional rollercoaster, but it's better than clomid. That just made me a mess more days then not. I hope that you have success with it though. It's not an easy thing to go thru, but just know that there are other people out there who can relate.

Reading this makes me feel like I can breathe again. My husband and I have been trying for about 7 years now, all tests have come back normal except my progesterone is low, so my dr has me on supplements for that. It's so unbelievably frustrating when literally everyone around you is getting pregnant. I had to take a "mental health" day off of work today - my best friend just told me she's pregnant with her third. I felt like I was losing my sanity last night. I've actually lost friendships because I push people away when they get pregnant. It's just too hard to pretend to be happy when every time you see them it kills you inside.
