I just a need a lifeline because I feel like I'm drowning. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years but unable to due to male factor infertility. I am 32 and my husband is 46. He has two grown children from a previous marriage but had a vasectomy and unsuccessful reversal. We have endured every couple we are/were friends with having a baby and now many are on their second. I just feel haunted and overwhelmed. We do not have the financial resources for adoption or IVF. We have met with specialists from coast to coast. We moved to Missouri a year and a half ago. Finally got to our 'consultation' (God, I hate those) with a doctor to try IUI with donor sperm and were redirected to lcoal clinic. I am just so tired of being passed to another doctor who 'may be a better fit'.
I have gotten to the point where I can't even go to church. I feel like such an awful person and just want to curl up and die. One thing that drew us to this church is that they were sympathetic towards infertility and a lot of members have similar walks. Lately, I just don't see it. I can't bear to hear another pregnancy announcement or baby shower. I am so bitter. We go to church but end up leaving with me in tears because my heart just aches to hear all the coos and babies. I am at the end of my rope. I want to just give up. I need to hear I am not alone.
I'm so sorry to read that you are struggling so badly. You are definitely not alone--as proven by the 873 members of this club that absolutely no one wanted to be in. I am new to using online support but I hope and pray that we can find comfort, understanding and support during our darkest times through these trials. Just know that there are LOTS of women who understand what you're feeling--myself included. I have had to leave many a mass service because I was so emotional seeing so many babies and families that I assume didn't have trouble conceiving. Is your husband supportive? I swear mine is the only way I have gotten this far. Sending you encouragement from KS!
