I just had to find atleast one example. I don't know if this is true or not, but my DH and I just had our 2nd IUI done today. My DH's sperm counts have ranged from 13 million to as high as 20 million, however today's was the highest it's ever been at 38.8 million. There may be a few factors that come into play, one of which is the fact that he hasn't been able to use our laptop for 2-3 weeks due to it having been sent off for repairs. He states he was drinking more water, but he's done that in the past too. I don't know, there might be some validity to this... I suggest your men maybe refrain from the use of a laptop especially those that run off wifi for a month or two and see what happens? Just had to share... =o)

I just wanted to add that it does take 72 days to produce new sperm, so whatever you do it has to be 3 months prior to ejaculation. My DH has a very low sperm count so I have done a lot of research on the issue if anyone has any questions.
That being said, the laptop heat can affect sperm count as well as hot baths and hot tubs as well as many other factors.

My husband has ok sperm count of 67 million, but his problem is the morphology, only 1% are normal looking (supposed to be 30%) and they are slow swimmers. He has been using a laptop for years, and I've always wondered if that is part of the problem, he has been taking multivitamins and coq10 for the past 3 months, he has another SA scheduled for 2 weeks, so I am curious if the vitamins helped. It sounds like you will have a better chance with this IUI. I hope it works!

I recently read an article about this and sent it to DH, he's so stubborn though, he doesn't believe it. Says a lot of people work on computers all day and don't have problems having babies. I harp on him all the time about his laptop.

Just my luck, my husband just bought his first personal laptop 2weeks ago and I don't think I'll be able to pry his new toy out of his hands!

Do you think the iPad would have the same effect too since it uses wifi?
