Sorry this really sucks! but you are taking the steps to improve your chances. I had a laparoscopic last year and the dr had to remove my left tube, it took me a while to get used to that but after a year i can talk about it. I had no chances before my surgery because my ovaries were attached to each other and to my uterus, it was pretty bad.

I hope you can keep your tube and everything goes well - all for a good cause :).......

Ive read lots of posts about lapo as my sister happened to face it once. Women evidently complain about mood swings after lap.
My poor girl has experienced incredible mood swings after her laparoscopy/removal of endo/freeing ovary from wall of abdomen. I'm so sure that they're linked to hormones!
Shes completely at the whim of these mood swings and very much struggling to control them... Also tried to speak to her research nurse about it and she pretty much said 'might be - might not' which is laughably unhelpful and unless I'm armed with a bit of back up knowledge I feel like Right now shes just making excuses for herself. She keeps saying: Anything at all would be helpful, feel like I'm boxing a kangaroo in the dark at the moment. Poor thing she is, my dear.
So judging from this situation I believe lapo really IS something difficult to do with.. But youre strong-willed, wolf, youll do it as there is the aim.
And as for those bitches getting unexpectedly pregnant, I think about them often too. As now we have to pass the de ivf treatment to have a chance for conceiving. Living with the greatest hope for success the 4th week of the program in biotexcom.

Thanks for the comments. I now have had a moment to ponder and think about it. I have started to realize that it will be better if they have to remove it. So, either way, I will be in a better position.

I guess it just takes time to come to terms with being in this situation to begin with.

Ive always been very even keeled, not too emotional, so I hope I wont have mood swings.

This is definitely the right place to throw an IF tantrum when you need to :) Everyone here will understand to some degree what you are going through and how unfair all of this really is. Sometimes you just need to get it out, and then you can take a step back and think more clearly while processing information from your dr. Tequila helps too...

Hi I know how you feel. My tubes are damaged too and I am infertile but it's not the end of the world. I said the same thing as you "why me", when all these undeserving people can do it with no problem!

I cried for days and months then I realized some us just have to work harder at getting what we want and now I'm doing IVF next month. All of my tests for the procedure came back great.

Thanks to science and advance medicine there is hope for PID sufferers, and other type infertility individuals . You are not alone and your journey is not over!!!!

Thanks guys for the Pep talk. I really needed to hear from ppl who know what is going on. It is tomorrow morning, and I'm so nervous. I've never had surgery before, and I'm always anxious when I feel like I don't have control over what's happening to myself. Lol. Guess that's why I don't heavily ever, never could stand not feeling like myself. And pain meds make me vomit lol. But I'd rather be puking and sleeping than hurting. Lol.

I'll update you guys and tell you about the experience.

Update. So I made it through, the doctor told my husband that he removed the adhesions, and the other good tube had a kink in it. So I kept my tubes and I couldn't be more Excited!! I'm not sure if the tubes will close up again, and if it Does happen again , the doc said ivf is what would happen next. So I pray with everything in me that they stay open. Thanks guys for any prayers or good thoughts sent my way..
My throat hurts, and my abdomen feels like a wreck, bit I'm happy it is over with and I can move on.
