After more than 5 years on this journey and walking away from it all about a year ago my husband and I ultimately decided to give IVF a try! I am in shock, in a good way! Just a few months ago we walked away from it all and were finally feeling at peace with our decision. Crazy how things change!
So our insurance will not cover a penny and its unlikely that we will be able to do more than one round so we literally are placing all of our eggs in one basket (no pun intended)! I am going to call the medical office this week to get the ball rolling and I need feedback and suggestions from everyone PLEASE!!! Are there any ways to minimize medication costs? What do you wish you had known before starting the IVF process? Tips? Suggestions?
Just in case background is helpful We have done: clomid with injectables, femara with injectables, 3 IUIs, HSG, laparoscopy and just about every other test you can imagine! The only diagnoses I have at this time are secondary infertility and stage 2 endometriosis and my husband and I are both in our mid-30s.
Any feedback or info you have will be welcome!

I didn't have coverage but asked my company for it, and they decided to cover it. I found a letter on the Resolve.org website and sent that to HR. Took a while, but it was worth the wait.
As for tips and whatnot. I took CoQ10 because I heard it could help with quality. Also took fish oil and prenatals. Ate well, walked a lot and drank pedialite while cycling. I also used Freedom Fertility and they were awesome. They have an App with videos on how to do all the injections and it was so helpful! If you can find any way to get donated meds, that would be great. I'm not sure how it works because from what I hear it's not allowed. But maybe that's just in my state. If you do find out, let me know! I have 2 unopened Gonal F pens sitting in my fridge that cost $900/each! I would love to be able to donate them.
