Juice fasting

Hey everyone - I am currently downregulating for a fresh IVF cycle and decided to do a juice fast before the Lupron flare starts. I've done them before and no, this isn't some weirdo crash diet where I drink nothing but cranberry juice concentrate and agave nectar or anything crazy like that - I'm talking about fresh homemade fruit/veg juice 5 times a day. I've done it before and I absolutely love it but I guess I'm a touch concerned that it's going to interfere with my hormone levels which are perfect to begin with. Anyone have any insight? And don't tell me to check with my nurses, because I will - I'm just interested to see what everyone thinks :)

How many days are you planning on doing it? How soon before you start the lupron do you plan on doing the cleanse? My concern would getting protein. My Re preferred me to eat a high protein diet but that was during my cycle not before. Sorry I am not much help.

I appreciate the input! I'm not sure how many days I'll go but I will definitely stop before Lupron (12 days from now) and DEFINITELY won't be doing it during stims!

A friend of mine did the juice cleansing for four weeks and added a protine shake also during the day because the protine is important and that's all she did for four weeks and her husband did it four two weeks and they ended up pregnant two months later they firmly believe it was the juice cleansing she said because they didn't do anything else because they couldn't aford IVF because her husband had canser and that caused his sperm count to lower and low mobility she said so they did the juice cleaning they read about and it worked !

Hey K,
I totally recommend juicing!! I did my first week long juice fast last year and I started the New Years with another 5 day juice fast (I followed the 5 day juice fast from the Reboot with Joe website) It changed my life and the way I eat for the better. Good luck with the juicing if you have any questions I am here and check the reboot with Joe website it is loaded with awesome juice receipts! XO

Oh and in MY opinion I don't think juicing will mess with your hormones at all! XO
