Any of you done several unsuccessful IVFs? Cancelled cycles? Abnormal PGS? Please share your stats and give me some hope! Here is where I am at:

Age, 39, diagnosis is DOR, low AMH of .10. AFC typically 4-8, FSH fluctuates between 8-20.

Started IVF Feb 2017 with first clinic:

IVF cycles 1-7 had 6 out of 7 cancelled due to poor response (only 1 dominant follicle per month). Wevretrieved only which yielded 3 eggs, all fertilzed and disentigrated by day 6. Was given the "go get donor eggs" speech. Fired clinic.

Changed clinics since they specialize in DOR in San Diego and cost less than traditional IVF clinics:

IVF 1, menopur + clomid only = 2 large follicles (rest too tiny to count), 1 retrieved, no blast, disintegrated at day 5.
IVF 2, menopur + clomid only = 4 follicles, 2 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal.
IVF 3, added Omnitrope, gonal-f plus clomid = 7 follicles, 6 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal.
IVF 4, continued Omnitrope, gonal-f plus clomid = 5 follicles, 5 retrieved, 1 blast, pgs abnormal. Just found out today and so heartbroken.

We've kept all three abnormal embryos as a possible last resort transfer. In my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd have to go through 11 medicated cycles and 5 retrievals and never make it to transfer. Hoping 2018 is the year it happens!

Thank you so much! Yes, that is my fav article. My RE sent it to me after my first abnormal. He recommends we keep them. I am now also researching wether its better to do day 3 transfers because older eggs are more fragile. Do you know anything about that?

Sorry to hear about your failed cycles. I feel the same way. Just went thru third IVF. Everything was great. I strongly believed this one will be success. My Dr. said 3 days after transfer they were still in amazement over the quality of my eggs. If everything was perfect why didn't it work???? Just don't understand. How can I continue to fail with such a good eggs? I don’t get it. Not giving up. Going to try again. Will find the funds somewhere. Our insurance doesn't cover any infertility tx. That also I think is unfair. It's not like we chose to have infertility problems. This’s not my fault I can’t get pregnant. Anyway, good luck to everyone.

I think it would be nice for you to start eat healthy, take some vitamins and do some exercises. And of course don't forget about positive mood! I know sometimes this is really hard to be positive. But I read some research where scientists claim that positive mood influences TTC and pregnancy in a really good way. Also I read that when we think about good stuff we send vibrations to the universe and get what we want in return. I don't know if this is true but I really hope it works somehow. All these will definitely help you to prepare for your IVF. I wish you best of luck with your upcoming procedure!
