How far are you into this cycle? Sometimes it takes a little while for your ovaries to "wake up," so don't give up! It could also be that your ovaries don't produce many follicles. Mine don't, so my first scans always showed only one follicle or so, and I had to up my stim dosages. It was a bit frustrating, but that was how my body responded, so we had to make the best of the situation.

I am so sorry. I haven't experienced this, as I'm still waiting on AF to get here to start stims for my first IVF cycle. Are your meds from what would be deemed a reputable pharmacy? My IVF nurse warned me of women purchasing meds from overseas or super-discounted pharmacies and then women not responding. That's the only thought I can think of :( I can only imagine your frustration.

Hines, today is day 8...yesterday was day 7 and I had a scan which showed a few tiny follicles. They had started me on Puregon 150mg since wednesday last week and then started Orgalutran on Sunday. Because I haven't had a response, they have stopped the Orgalutran (this is the drug that is supposed to stop you from ovulating) and upped the Puregon to 175mg. Having another scan and blood test on Saturday to have a look and see what is happening.
Amanda, we don't buy our drugs separately over here in NZ as it is illegal. It ia all done through the fertility clinic. They purchase and supply all meds so thats not the problem. The problem is me and my stupid body. Just so dispsirited...not even at the first hurdle and I am already stumbling.

Focus on the fact that you showed tiny follicles yesterday. With them upping your stims and pulling you off suppressors, they should grow, and you should show more. It's maddening, I know. I'd give my old ladies a pep talk every day during my retrieval cycles, and especially on scan days. Hang in there!
