Hi all,
I have been absent for what seems like forever, however, we have just decided to get back on the old horse again. Some of you who have been here for a long time may remember that in 2010 I had y first IVF which I got pregnant from, but then found out I have lost at my 12 week scan. I did a FET after which was unsuccessful and then another fresh IVF in 2012 which resulted in a biochem pregnancy. Since then I have thought about going for a fresh cycle, yet never got passed the first meeting with the specialist as I was terrified of another failure.
However with my 40th looming just around the corner I thought it si now or never! so I am going ahead. I was wondering for all of you who have done IVF over a number of years, or those of you in your late 30's early forties, what meds/quantities were you given? I am trying to figure out if I can expect much change in what I have done in the past...
To make matters worse, it looks like the last clinic we were at lost all our info so now I have no record of what our old protocols entailed... I am now chasing that one up to find out what they have done!

I did my first IVF earlier this year, at age 39. I was on both follistim and menupor. Follistim in the morning and night and menupor in the evenings. At retrieval there were 10 follicles, 7 of which were mature.
Good luck! I'm so sorry your old clinic lost your info (how in the world??) but am hoping that this next round is good to you!!
I'm 41, DH - 44. We've been on this path for 2 years already. The thought of having a baby came rather late to my head, I've been always preoccupied with so much doings and plans (career ones for the most part) that had no time for the most important things in life. How stupid I was, dear Lord! No egg freezing done - I've always been thinking I'll easily manage to do it as I'm such a successful lady! ((
Time flies and now the urgency is creeping nearer every other day.
This is the 4th week of our de ivf treatment. As up to this time I've already succeeded to be diagnosed on diminished ovarian reserve. Heh?!? Isn't that great to have knocked me absolutely down!?
I have my fingers crossed every day for people in Biotexcom may help us soon. Our doc is marvelous so we put great hope in her creating miracles.
