Hi all,
We have been trying for 7 years , about 2-3 years of IUI's ( which didn't work ) and started IVF about 2 and half years back ( had a failed attempt before) I had a OVHH ( ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome ) which was very traumatic , so we took a break and re- started after nearly a year and 10 months . It was a huge step to go back. Never thought I would be able to but it seems to be going much better now, I have left my full time high stress job to give our dream a chance, so let's see.
I had a blastocyst ( day 5 embryo ) put in me last week & sadly I got my periods 2-3 days back , so I feel it hasn't worked , however my husband looked up on internet and said it could be blood from the nestling process, which I doubt as you know when you get periods and when it has not worked, Secretly we had hoped it would work. Going to wait until day 11 ( as advised by the doctors ) and stil do the preg test to see if I am preg or not, so we are sure of the result.
To top it up, I am down with a bad cold and cough so that doesn't make things easier ! I was very sad 2 days back , but feel better now and got over the fact it didnt work this time as well. Dont want to lose hope and dont want this also to dictate our lives as it can become obsessive and thats not good !
Has any one faced anything like this and any advise or positive words of encouragement , please let me know !

I didnt have to take the shots , only injected a pregnyl to stimulate the ovulation. My eggs were already taken out a year or two back and frozen. So this time it was a case of the frozen embryo put back. It didnt work this time as well :( thanks anyway for your response ...
