IUI today

I am so nervous about today its my first IUI since my Miscarriage and BCP's... Does anyone have ne advice on what I can do to help myself relax and not be so scared... or advice on how to help make this work?

Unfortunately there is no way to make it work. All you can do is pray and hope it does.

What helped me be not so scared was having my husband in the room when the IUI was done. He held my hand and it took away some of the anxiety.

Good luck - have you ever meditated?? Maybe try your own version of it, like picturing yourself in a beautiful place, let the stress melt away, yada yada.

:-) thats what I did... so far it went ok now just lots of prayers.. smh06 i wish my husband could be in the room with me hes overseas

I am doing ok no cramping this time..just hoping one or more stick just trying to stay calm and relaxed

My husband and I recently got news last Friday that our first IUI did not work. I am not saying that to discourage you, I am saying that to serve as a witness that freaking out and reading into every little symptom on turns you into a major stress case and looking back I don't know how anyone wanted to be around me. I know it's easier said than done, but stressing or second guessing every twinge and pain and boob ache is not going to get you on the fast track to pregnancy. We have our faith in God that we have been able to draw upon in these trying times, and we've decided to take a step back after three and a half years of trying with nothing but lots of money spent, and an ectopic and miscarriage that we conceived prior to seeking help. Sending you hugs...the 2WW can be maddening. Involve yourself in things to take your mind off of it...do not do what I did and obsess over it. I hope this helps and sending lots of baby dust your way!
