What's the reason why you had to get IUI done in the first place?

Are they putting you on progestorine supplements once you get a pos. test? Were you charting your cycles before, and if so how long is your luteal phase typically?

similar thing happens to me and no answers.
they recommended PGD.

I am 32 and my husband is 37. We are both very active and healthy so were not sure why we are having so many problems.

About 2 years ago, I stopped having my period. So we went to the Dr. and they said I had stopped ovulating on my own. They put me on Clomid some months and Letrazol some other. With those I did ovulate and got pregnant once, but lost it early on. After a year we went to a fertility specalist and we tried IUI. The first one didn't work. So we tried again, used progestorine 3 days after IUI and also lovenox shots but still had a misscarriage. The third time did all the same meds and had an eptopic. Had surgery but got to keep both tubes. 4th IUI was 2 weeks ago. Day 14 had positive beta level at 20, yesterday it went down to 14. They told me to stop taking all meds and wait for number to go back to zero.

you should chart your cycle to see how long your luteal phase is, or really from your IUI you would know, if you start your period... it should be at least 10 days to allow your body to implant the fertilized egg... a few friends are having issues with the same thing and they are anywhere from 7-9 days in their luteal phase. They get pregnant, then lose it (before they would know they were pregnant if they were not trying). There are other supplements you can take and things you can do to increase this phase of your cycle (B6 is supposed to be a good one) - and also progesterine will help to prevent your uterine lining from breaking down too early in your cycle... if you knew this was the issue (or was not) you could focus on what to do to increase this (or not)... just a thought...

Thanks for that! I will try and see what happens. I have been taking progesterone but I will try the B6...I have nothing to lose at this point.

mm, yeah I do think B6 is helpful, but you should probably talk to your dr.s and find out what they recommend... sorry, I just wanted to help you and let you know there may be other options... you may not want to take supplements without revewing it with a specialist...

I just made an appointment with another fertility Dr. in the same office next Thursday to discuss options. My current Dr. is on maternity leave. I will keep you posted. I am going to ask about the b6.

you should talk to your RE about testing for cardiolipins, lupus anti coagulant and MTHFR.A HSG will determine if both tubes are open, if one is closed it could be leaking fluid into your uterus that is toxic to embryos.A sonohystogram will show if tou have any fibroids or scar tissue that is makeing implantation difficult for the embryos.After seveal failed cycles and 2 MC I just had all of these done and all came back bad and I will need surgery and will have to be on heparin for my next cycle.

I hae had the tube test twice. Once was last year and they were fine. Then I had my eptopic in Feb. with surgery, so I had another tube test in March. They looked a little blocked at the bottom but they kept pushing fluid in and they opened up. As for the blood test you mentioned, I have had both. For the past 2 cycles I have been on lovenox for the lupus antiocoag. I tested negative for the anticoag, but they said it was so close to a small positive they wanted me to take it anyway.
My husband and I have also done the chromosone testing and that was fine too. This is why I am so frustrated...we'ver really tried everything and can't figure out why we can't stay pregnant.
