an hpt test??? i've had side pain like in my ovaries nothing too painful but here and there i feel some pain. i had a bfp that turned into a chemical pregnancy in early sept got my period a few days later and seemed normal. i was suppose to get my period on the 30th of sept and have not gotten it yet but i did do 2 hpt and both were negative, called my RE and they said this is not unusual for me to get my period late but i'm just wondering why i'm feeling this pain on my side!!!! So this is my question, is an ectopic pregnancy detected on a HPT??? thanks to those who respond!!

It wouldn't be detected as ectopic but it would detect a pregnancy. So if it was your HPT shold be positive. Perhaps you have a cyst on your ovaries causing the pain. I have had numerous ovarian cysts and they can be painful. Doesn't explain why you are late but I remember have a very light period the first time after my MC so perhaps there wasn't much to shed this month. Hoping that the pain goes away soon. :)

What type of treatment did you have IVF...IUI? Having had ectopics I can tell you they are extremely painful. A pregnancy test doesn't have to be positive...cause it depends on the stage of the pregnancy. My urine test came out negative but my blood test came out positive. I ended up being pregnant in my tube.

Don't be too alarmed just yet... If you had a chemical pregnancy how far gone where you?? Having any type of pregnancy throws your cycle off. I had my cycle twice in a month for a couple of months when I had issues. If the pain is that unbearable than see if they will do a sono on you.

Hope you feel better sorry about the chemical pregnancy....
