Hello everyone, my name is Lacey and my Husband and I have been trying to conceive since November/December of 2014. I have been diagnosed with PCOS since about 10 years ago and I believe I have the anovulatory cycle type of PCOS, i have regular periods but I just don't ovulate. Well, I am currently on my 3rd cylce of Clomid (50mg 3 x a day) and am waiting to get my CD 14 ultrasound to check for follicle size. (I ovulated on my 1st cycle but couldn't catch the right timing and the 2nd cycle I didn't ovulate). Many of my friends are getting pregnant and it is truely heartbreaking to me since I want a little one so bad. I have seen a RE with all of my tests coming back fine. I tend to be a very private person so many of my family and friends don't know we are TTC let alone having trouble. Oh, and to top it all off, I work on a maternity unit.... Just looking for some support and encouragement, getting hard to deal with all the BFNs and pregnancy announcements.

Hey Lacey,
Welcome! I to have PCOS, and have regular periods, and when i've tested if i'm ovulating, it has come back as yes, but 7 or 8 years later and we had nothing. Finally we saw a RE maybe 2 years ago, and had 2 failed IUI's. I was also on clomid from my regular ob/gyn but i was a complete and total emotional mess, i couldn't wait to get off it.

It's so hard watching others get pregant, and especially since you are surrounded by it all day long, it' must be extra hard for you!

We recently just completed our first IVF in November, and had a frozen embryo transfer on the 6th of February. This week is test week, so i guess we'll see.

Sending you lots of support and strength, and you have come to the right place. Know that you are not alone, and we all have very similar feelings at some point as you.

Hi Lacey, I just joined this group as well as we have been trying for over 2 years. I know how you feel with the pregnancy announcements and overall just being around friends or family who are pregnant. It's such a conflicting feeling because obviously you are happy for them, but just so heartbreaking and painful inside :(.

We are going to be starting our first found of IVF in a few days and there are so many emotions that range from fear, anxiety, all the way to complete excitement and hope. Sending you guys faith and strength. Some days you feel like you are on top of the moon and finally seeing the light at the end of the dark tunnel, and some days, well quite frankly, it's just tough to get out of bed and face the day. Hi! I just joined this group too. My husband and I have been trying for four years and I suffered a miscarriage (I'm 38 and he's 42.) I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism as well as low progesterone. My husband has a low-ish sperm count. We eat healthy and are fairly active. Everyone in my husband's immediate family is pregnant or recently had a baby, but us. I have had to suffer through baby shower after baby shower after baby shower to keep the peace and not offend anyone. Frankly I am sick of going. It's hard to keep my head up. We're not on any specialized meds yet (our insurance just left the state..YAY!) just me on progesterone and thyroid meds. I just joined here, because I am truly sad and need encouragement. I feel like its almost too late.

Hi LEg I just joined this group this week too. It’s great to have somewhere we can go to with others who are going through similar issues. I can relate to you 100% with all of the pregnancy announcements. As I shared on my posts, both of my sisters in law are pregnant with their second. One just announced the pregnanacy last night so I am filled with dread as it’s going to surround me 24/7. You are truly strong in your work combined with what you are going through. As hard as it sounds we need to keep up and keep working towards solutions and suggestions that are given to us by the professionals.

Hi everyone. I also am new to this group. I suffer from premature ovarian failure and never received a period unless I am on medication. I also have hypothyroidism. I have been dealing with this for almost 13 years now, I will be 29 in 3 weeks. Everyone around us is pregnant. My sister in law told my husband she is pregnant with her second child out of wedlock with a different father (she’s only 26) on the same day that my egg donor failed due to an SDT. We were suppose to implant this week. I can’t be around her and it is causing problems with my in laws. They think I’m being mean and have a problem with her and causing problems with the family. That’s not it. They don’t get it. I don’t know what to do. That’s why I joined this group. I don’t need to explain how hard this is or try to make any of you understand. You all get it and feel the same way I do. I just don’t know how to cope and deal with it yet. I don’t know how to be around her without breaking down, without crying, without feeling jealous and envy and without all the pain that I have gone through already coming rushing back.
