It can definitely be overwhelming to go through this journey and try to stay positive. I have a similar story to yours. We’ve been trying for 3 years and have had 4 failed iui cycles. We decided to move to IVF despite of having diminished ovarian reserve. Upon taking my meds, I was so shocked that I had only 6 follicles (I didn’t take it well when I found out). On the day of retrieval, they retrieved 5 and only 4 were matured. It was so devastating that I’ve been being sick to my stomach for such a low response. However, I held onto hope. Five days later, all 4 of my embryos were frozen. I was so lucky that they all graded well. At this point, I thought that the hardest part was behind me. Unfortunately that was not the case. I had attempted to do a transfer, but had my cycle cancelled twice. I’ve never had a problem with thin lining, but now that was the case! As you can imagine, I don’t want use any of my embryos without knowing that I have the best possible scenario. As hard as it was, I’ve decided to take a mental and physical break from it all. Which has helped me to focus on self care activities. (journaling, massages, therapy session, facials, acupuncture, manicures, and etc) As it can be so easy to get wrapped up on the negative, doubts, and fears. Taking care of myself has helped me to remember that i matter, my relationship with my husband matter, and everyone that loves me and support me matters! It always help to create a support system. Hope this helps!
