That happened to me over the summer. FET failed and I had to gear up for round two. The biggest thing I did was ask what we were going to do differently and find out how I could improve my chances for success. Ask about med changes, hormone testing in the process and what you can be doing with your diet/exercise in the process. The more empowered I was, the more at peace I felt with the process. I am now 23 weeks pregnant with my son!

You are definitely not alone and came to the right place. I am so sorry for your negative results. I remember getting those phone calls with another negative beta and it was horrible. I just had to take it day by day and to constantly remind myself that I was going to be ok- even if I didn’t believe it at the time. I also did take breaks in between FETs. The whole process with Drs appointments, medications, hormone fluctuations, etc was so exhausting and I needed some time to mentally prepare for the next time. And I know that it is super hard, but try to not let yourself go to a place where you convince yourself that just bc it failed once, it will fail again. I had 8 embryos to start with, transferred 2 at a time, and was not pregnant until my 4th FET with my #7 & #8 embryos. By the time that last transfer came around, I was a mess and ready to not use my last embryos and start from scratch- so glad I listened to my dr and not do that! 5 embryos is a great number and I wish you much success as you move forward. @Mrsmonney826, thank you I will be sure to ask my doctor what I can do differently. Totally makes sense the more questions I ask, the more empowered I will feel. I definitely didn't feel embowered on my last cycle, but this time will be different.

@blbnjf wow, #7 and #8 thank goodness you didn't give up. That's incredible. I think what you said about " not letting yourself go to a place where you convince yourself that just bc it failed once, it will fail again" is SO true. I will definitely have to keep reminding myself of this. Words to live by.

@judithbeast Totally understandable. I felt the same way. Its hard to not think that way when you invest so much time, money and hope into something. But it didn't work for me the first time, and I'm still hopeful it will. Somehow you find the energy to keep moving forward and hope for the best. Good luck to you this summer!!

Wow ... I could have written that post. I had a freeze all because of OHSS and had 6 frozen. My first FET failed and I was destroyed and it took me about 4 months and some fertility counselling until I was ready to try again. Unfortunately for me, the second FET was also unsuccessful but I’m getting ready for my next one which I hope will be on my next cycle so probably April now.

Take your time to move forward how you need. This is tough stuff! For me, it takes time to get ready so I have a little break between each one.
