You're right, I am young, which only makes all of this harder. Imagine being told at 17 you will never have kids..... Thank you for the support.
I have a friend who was also told at a very young age (18, I think) that she would never have children. She was diagnosed with endometriosis and had to have one of her ovaries removed. But, she did go on to have two children in spite of what the doctors told her. So there are some conditions where you are definitely infertile, like if your uterus is gone, and some conditions where you may be told that you will never have children, but it's not a definite fact.
My friend was really angry at the doctor for saying this, but then she went on to have her first child at the age of 20. So you may be lucky that you have the news now if you are able to do something about it. If you know for sure you want kids, being young could be a good thing. As for your question, if the subject of kids has already come up in your relationship, I'd say it's definitely the time to talk about it. Good luck :)
