Been TTC for 3 years and just had my first round of medicated IUI. Now it's the dreaded two week wait (which always results in heartbreak). I am feeling trapped in my own mind and can't stop having negative thoughts about it not working. I am so exhausted of the thoughts and having my heart broken every. single. month. So many tears. I feel like a burden to my poor husband, family and friends who have to see me upset and constantly talking about how hard all this is. Does anyone else feel this way? I turn to my Faith a lot of the time & pray often but sometimes I feel like I am so alone. Anyway, having a horrible night and needed to vent to some ladies who are in the same boat as me! I need some encouragment to keep me sane. Reading everyone's stories in this group is helpful and I am grateful for all who have shared their journies! Any words of encouragement is greatly appreciated! Lots of love and fertile vibes going out to you all. xx

We have certainly all walked in your shoes! Vent away! The hopelessness of infertility is exhausting and depressing! I went through the process for 3 years as well... so many tests... 3 surgeries.. medications.... IUIs and finally IVF! I can now say I have a beautiful daughter and I am pregnant with a son! Stay strong and have faith in the process. If this doesn't work for you, there are still more options out there!! Post an update after the dreaded TWW!

I also am in the wait, so I completely understand. My situation is a bit different, as this is my 4th IVF cycle, but I've never gotten the happy phone call that my pregnancy blood test is positive. My transfer was this past weekend, and I'm now waiting (stressfully I might add!) for next week when I can go get my blood test to find out if this is the magic time. Good luck to you, and I hope for the best.

My transfer is Sunday and then I will be doing the waiting game too; not at all a fun time!!

I am also in the two week wait. I can totally relate. This week has been particularly hard as a friend just announced she is pregnant after her “struggle with infertility for 6 months”.
3 years of trying,a miscarriage and failed IVF treatment I feel like I am becoming a bitter selfish person. All the best to everyone in this dreaded waiting period!

I’m so sorry. It’s an awful punch in the stomach feeling when yet another pregnancy announcement is made. Some people just have no idea how the infertility journey is. I was deeply hurt by long time “friends” last year which resulted in me having to cut ties with them. Two of them became pregnant - one of them also “struggled a couple months to conceive” and had the nerve to compare her story to mine. When I became upset after the announcements they called me “selfish”, that I “just need to be happy for people” and to “learn to control my emotions”. I felt so betrayed, embarrassed, ashamed.. they didn’t even try to understand how hard it was for me. We are brave and strong women! Glad we have support and a safe space to vent here! xx
