Now most of the time, we are posting threads in the IF section because we are going crazy and need to vent. Welllll for once I wished I was crazy. My husband and I have been doing this dance for 3 years ...First I was the problem (PCOS), then the dreaded, (NO Sperm) came into play, which for me was a lot harder, due to the fact that I would much rather be the problem, then watch my husband suffer... Any who, so we decided that donor sperm was the way to go. Looked at the profiles, ordered the vials and now it alllllll depends on me!!!

I told my husband that I wanted to lost 40 lbs before I start. For the life of me I can't get on track. I have been up and down my whole life, so I know how it goes... But I know my problem is the fact that I am avoiding losing weight, in order to avoid the IF game again.. All the fears of the "what if's" are chillin in my subconscious and the sad thing is I KNOW IT! This is when I say "I wish I was just in the crazy stage of IF and wasn't able to realize what I am doing or NOT doing" Anyone else feel like this or have been where I am?????????? Please tell me I'm normal....

I know exactly what you mean. It gets to a point where you just don't want to do it anymore. Each time, each test, each procedure we always get our hopes up that it will be the last and it never is. More wasted time, money and hopes. I understand you not wanting to do yet another procedure because it probably seems like yet another pointless procedure that probably won't lead to a baby.

Don't stop trying though. One day it will happen, don't give up all hope. You are not crazy by any means. I think this waiting game gets to all of us at times. Best of luck.

THank you for your response... I do not know what I would do without you ladies in my life... The support is priceless.....thats pretty much the only thing that is priceless in the IF game...lol

I fill the same way a lot. I am afraid now to see the doctor, to do the test. I just afraid of another set back, another dissapointment. I am afraid to hear "You will never be a mother, will never have your own children".

I think I understand how your feeling and I think your completely normal. we are trying to decide when to do our second round of IVF and I don't know if I really want to do it. More money, procedures, meds, etc, etc. It's like "Do I really want tomake my hopes soar again just to be disappointed????"

Your feelings are completely normal and it's an uphill battle everyday for all of us. Stay positive and don't give up. I know these trials we are going through are alll going to be worth it one or another.

Oh my gosh I have PCOS (known about it for a long time) and when we started IVF we also found out my DH had 0 sperm as well. We did a surgery and they were able to retrieve some from him but we have tried IVF a few times this way with no luck. Due to my age we are going with donor eggs now. If we are lucky to get a nice supply then we will fertilize half with my DH and the other half with donor just in case. We figured it was our best option to reach our goal of being parents. I would be nice it we were using both our DNA but that isn't what will make us parents. Good luck. I know it is so tough. Some times I feel like I am obsessing over this so much. BTW I have a friend who also has PCOS. She tried IVF once and had MC. Long story short she got a divorce, lost a bunch of weight, and eventually became pregnant naturally. She was 32 or 33 I believe at the time. Weight loss can definitely help...just skip the big D. I have not gotten a dr. to confirm but for a off and on I have done some vitamin b shots. I feel great and lost some weight and magically for the first time in my life had regular periods and they have been almost regular since I started. When I started this round of IVF a year ago my ovaries also looked amazing. hardly any cycsts. I can't say it was the vitamin B however the only other thing that changed in my life was stress reduction. Good luck again!
