I'm just so frustrated

so my husband and I have been trying for 2 years. It's been a long road. So after 6 months I went to my regular OB for my annual and he made me make a different appointment for fertility because of insurance or something. Well then he sent us for all the tests which all came back fine except my Hsg test which showed I could have a blocked tube. He put me on Clomid. Well after 4 months I made an appointment with a specialist. At the first appointment he mentioned I could have endometriosis. (My regular Ob never once mentioned this). He also had me go for a blood clotting test turns out I have that so I have to do shots and suppositories to help prevent a miscarriage. (Again my regular OB never once said anything about this). We did 3 iuis then he said suggested we do surgery for endometriosis. Turns out I had stage 2 but he cleaned it up and discovered both my tubes are open. He also told us my ovaries and eggs look great and we shouldn't have any issues moving forward. That was in May. We took a couple months off to heal and then started iuis again. We just did our 4th iui on Clomid but it didn't take. He said the Clomid could be causing it not to implant apparently this can be an adverse reaction even though it cause me to produce several eggs. So now we just feel stuck. I have a major breakdown every time the tests are negative. The worst part is I did have 2 abortions earlier in my life. I just feel so alone and lost. My friends are sympathetic and I have a few  who have been through it but they all have kids now so even though they understand I still feel alone. I'm just looking for people who understand.

Aww man that sounds like you have been doing a run around but also that finally you have someone who is getting to the bottom of things. ♡It is extremely disheartening to be told that you shouldn't have any problems now and then it doesnt work... I have been in that boat.. in fact still am in that boat.
Don't let the past play into your future.. Don't look back and feel like this is your fault cos of that. I too had an abortion when I was younger and now struggle.. we are on our 5 iui and were told before iui1 that we should be like a "normal " couple. You cannot blame yourself in any way.. Don't live in that what ifs world because you did what you had to in that stage of your life. You are not being punished for the past. Keep pushing... for the future for your dream and try to be gentle and kind to yourself. I also take it hard when the shit comes... cos it's shit.. reach out to us.. we are all here. I hope it helps a little.. I know some days it does

Thank you MissSattc. I do blame myself a lot for the past. I try very hard not to but it's hard. My husband thinks I'm way to hard on myself about the past and about everything now. He says it's not my fault. Honestly it's driving me insane and I have major breakdowns over it every month. We are supposed to start shots then do an iui but we are thinking of taking a month or two off then start maybe in January. We shall see. Thanks again.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. Clomid can work for some couples but is terrible for others. Clomid can thin your uterine lining making implantation impossible. Has your doctor suggested Femara instead of Clomid? I've had issues with Clomid in the past and now on Femara. I love Femara. Have you thought of going to a different doctor? Sending positive thoughts and prayers.

Thank you. We have an appointment with the dr soon. I will ask him about that other pill. I never really had any bad reactions to clomid other than they think it's making the eggs not implant. I've also been on it way longer than most people and I guess it can d something to the estrogen receptors. For now I think we're going to take at least 1 month off.

Just joined tonight. Add me fo the list. I’m 39 and feel the same as everyone here. Been trying for 6 years. Two failed IVFs with poor embryo quality and so far 5 failed IUIs. Just started my 6th yesterday. I also never thought I’d be in this situation. Like a lot of women I studied and got my degree, then got married at 33 and started trying for a year. Then got diagnosed with the I word: Infertility. My DH was diagnosed with Low Sperm count at the age of 35. Mind you we had both gotten pregnant in our mid 20s with different partners and both resulted in termination. So we felt like hey we are definitely fertile. Nope. The doc wanted to know why at such a young age did he have a low count. We were sent to a fertility urologist. Came to find out he had large varicoceles. We had some marital issues for two years where we stopped trying. Then he had surgery to repair the varicocele at the age of 39. We were told he’d hopefully produce healthy sperm and his numbers would increase about 6-12 months post surgery. Plus they put him on Special Sperm Vitamins. Luckily things have improved, but I’ve also gotten older. Still no baby. We all have a story. Hang in there. You just never know. My friend had 16 IUIs and got pregnant. Then got pregnant by accident a year later. Keep going!!!! Explore all options. Even acupuncture. I’ve heard and seen amazing results. I’m also reading the book It Starts with the Egg. Eye opening. I’ve even been told about the anti-inflammatory diet which is basically paleo which helps increase fertility. Good luck!!!!
