Oh I am so sorry! That's so tough, I am dreading something like this happening to us so I am totally going to be thinking​ of you tonight. I would say that you should go since it's your sister and maybe just leave early? It's so unfair and so emotional so I don't think anyone will blame you for bowing out early. I have been starting to excuse myself from certain social situations where I know pregnant people will be or people asking about growing our family, so no judgment here if you don't make it. Thank you for your kind words. I went but I was a complete basket case the entire time. I had to pull my sister aside afterwards and explain why I couldn't quit crying. It's so hard because I don't want pity from people or for them to feel sorry for me. And I don't want to take the attention off my sister but I just couldn't control my tears. My sister understands I'm hurt but she don't understand fully because she's never been in my shoes. Life's just so hard sometimes.

4 years is a really long time :( I was 3 years of infertility before I got pregnant... and my younger sister had 2 kids in that time and my brother did too! One of whom is my God daughter. I love them all... but man did it make it SO hard. My sister in law (who i dont like) also had a daughter. It was REALLY tough. I was in a very dark place. But you have to go. You will regret it if you don't go to support your sister. She is allowed to be happy... I know you know that and you are happy for her... it just still sucks so bad. But you should go for sure. Make the best of it. Think about what
you want YOUR gender reveal party to be like!!
Where are you in the treatment process? We had to do it ALL and then some to get pregnant. We are about to do another IVF cycle.

Can I ask how things are with your sister now? It's my sister-in-law's baby shower in a few weeks and I don't know if I can cope with going, but I'm worried it will cause issues with the family if I don't. At the minute, I'm not coping with things very well and am having my first appointment with a counsellor today. She's linked to my IVF clinic and specialise in this type of support.

I have my days where I still break down but I've been buying my nephew some things here and there and trying to focus on loving him as my own. My sisters baby shower is next month and I'm terrified to go to it because I throught I could handle the gender reveal but as soon as I got there I couldn't control my tears. I felt so bad because my family was focusing on me and not my sister but I couldn't help it. It's completely understandable to be a wreck and I know how hard it is to go to events like that and not want to because of family. Usually I don't go, I didn't go to my cousins baby shower yesterday but sisters and brothers are a little more harder to avoid. I pray everything goes with with your appointment today. I have a specialist appointment with my husband Friday but I kind of feel like it's pointless because we can't afford IVF. It's a hard hard journey to go through but it helps to know there are others that know exactly how you feel.

I am so sorry Morgan. I am glad you went, it shows your strength. And you guys are all awesome! I am too much of a bitch to not go. I go to every baby shower and birthday party and act like I am 100% happy being childless and "oh we have time" etc etc. But I am longing and sad very deep inside. The non bitch side of me says if I avoid the very thing I want, then it goes against manifestation and the law of attraction! Lol. So, even though it hurts, I try to spend more time with babies, pregnant people. I am sure at some point I will become a hobbit, but not quite yet.
