I can't believe it!!!

Hi all,

got my report this morning... We had 5 of the 6 fertilize!!!!!!

I am exhausted, exited and scared all at the same time.

Does anyone know what the rate of survival is to Blastocyst? the nurse at the IVF clinic is such a Bi*&^ that I don't trust anything she tells me any more

dont worry,you'l have lots of embies on day five,your RE will chose the best ones to transfer,good luck!

I am not sure about the rate of survival because there are a lot of things that need to be looked at per embryo. What I do believe is that if your RE didn't think they would make it to day 5 for a transfer, they would move you to day 3. We were suppose to do a day 5 transfer our last cycle but since we were down to 5 embryos and were putting back 3 our RE felt safer doing transfer sooner. Your embryos probably look SO amazing that they know they will make it to blast.

I think usually the numbers are reduced by 1/3 to 1/2, but you seem to have overcome those odds already!!! My dr. says to expect things in halves, but the numbers most girls come up with are better than half usually!

I am so glad to hear you had 5 fertilize!!!
