We tried 13 months (naturally) before we got a BFP. I would get frustrated each time AF showed up, would cry a little but usually move on by the end of the day. We miscarried at 13 months and have been trying again for 4 months. Now when AF shows up, I'm a wreck, an absolute hysterical disaster. I find that if I let myself have my meltdown then I am able to pick myself up and get on with my day. I know that isn't practical at work, but I would recommend letting yourself acknowledge it when you have a chance. Hold it together until you can let go.
Then after I've had my meltdown, I find a project to work on. It might be cleaning the house, a craft project, exercising. Something to make me feel better, like I've accomplished something. Something, anything to show that I still have fight. I'm a fighter and I'm gonna fight this thing.
And to be honest it's an on again, off again battle. Sometimes I break down multiple times during a AF, only to fight my way back.
And I try to find things to do that I enjoy, maybe have a drink that I couldn't have during my 2ww. Watch a cute tv show. Good luck, this isn't an easy road but you'll make it.
-Take time to grieve your loss... whether it's the loss of a child, or the loss of a dream.
-At work focus on the job at hand. If you have to act like a robot, be a robot. Just do what it takes to get the job done.
-If you don't feel like interacting with others, then don't, or at least limit contact with certain people until you're feeling stronger.
-Share and talk with others ... here on DS or people who understand (maybe a face to face support group will help as well).
-Make a daily gratitude list of things you're grateful for (your spouse, the ability to walk, see, the sunshine, the beautiful flowers in your back yard etc.)
-Pamper yourself---get that hair cut or pedicure.
-Find a new project you can focus your energies on.
Hope this helps.. wishing you peace.
