I got told to abstain for my 2ww, that's normal. My DH asked if intercourse was okay after our positive test and they said to wait one more week. I've got two more days to wait. I got through yesterday, I'll make it 2 more days even if I need to ambien and a massage.

Silly me, I started reading the internet and I'm saw a lot of 9 - 12 week abstains in the comments. So, how long were you told to abstain?

My RE says 7 weeks is what they prefer.

My previous RE said it was up to the ob once we were released from RE care which was typically after they saw a heartbeat. I have not asked nor been told by current RE. Paperwork from retrieval says until further notice.

Thanks for the responses! I used ambien to sleep last night and it knocked me right out, no cuddles of temptation.

Pin: eek! "until further notice" would drive me nuts...

I emailed this morning and 6 weeks will do. Another week and a half till ultrasound.

Yeah.. did not take the advice before transfer... will abstain till at least the beta after transfer though. Then play it by ear...

we was told after transfer, the whole 2 week wait, and if declared pregnant - up untill 9 weeks of pregancy

so between 8-9 weeks .. phefffff, im hidng from my husband

Think it depends who you talk too. My RE says it actually increases the chances of it working ( I'm guessing because it might increase blood flow). But I always just abstain in case as I know lots of others say to abstain

I was told after transfer to abstain for at least 5 days. Beta is in 2 weeks so I guess that could mean fun for the second half of 2ww...
