I am on day 5 of my IVF injections. I had my second ultrasound and bloodwork done this morning. Before I even made it home (I do live 2 1/2 hours away from my RE) she was calling me to tell me that my estrogen levels were 6500! They should be around 500 at this point she says.
She's still going to allow us to continue our cycle, but we won't implant this month. She'll pull them out and fertilize them, but then freeze them and we'll have to go back next month to put them back in.
Have any of you heard of this? Does anyone know how long after they retrieve my eggs that I can go back for them to put them in?

I don't know what your RE does, but when I have my transfer in August, it will have been about two months since my last retrieval. After I got my period following my retrieval, I started a month of prep work where I went back on birth control. Once the month is done, I'll start my frozen embryo protocol, which will last about 20 days and end in the transfer. Because my IVF lab closes for three weeks in July, I was given the option of having less time between retrieval and transfer, but we chose to go the entire time so my body was "fully" prepared for the transfer. We don't want to look back if anything doesn't go according to plan (*knock on wood*) and go, "What if ...?"
