Hello strong, beautiful women! I have looked at this support group from the outside for a long time and I think it is time that I join. I am not sure if I fit in here because my "infertility" has to do with the fact that my DH had a vasectomy.
We got married in April and have a reversal scheduled Oct 10. I am nervous and excited for so many different reasons. I am petrified that after this (very expensive) procedure, the problem will be with me. I have gotten pregnant before but I was in a traumatic car accident in the 15th week and lost my twin girls. Since then, my cycle is irregular, and I just don't "feel the same".
My SIL has been TTC for years now and she recently told me that she ALWAYS thought she would have trouble conceiving (like since she was young). I feel the same way--I was SHOCKED when I got pregnant as I always felt it would be a struggle for me as well. So, here is my question: Did anyone on here suspect they would have trouble having a baby before TTC? I am a firm believer in women intuition and I was just curious. Thanks for reading--I'm keeping tabs on all of you--haha!!

Hi and welcome. I am sorry for the loss of your twins. I had a "feeling" that i would have trouble TTC, unfortunately i was right. With a little help with meds and some changes in life style I am 16 weeks. Good Luck.

I knew i would have issues even back in my teenage years. My cycles have ALWAYs been off and in my early 20's I was diagnosed with PCOS.

Your DEFINITELY in the right place to just vent your worries and concernes. We have ALL Been there!

I actually have a 10 year old daughter from my 1st marriage, so when my DH and I got married back in 05' I thought I would get pregnant within a couple months. It is now 3 years later and here we are... We just completed IVF with ICSI and PGD. I am in my 2ww (preg test on Wed). I am so sorry you lost your pregnancy. I hope you get some great advice from your RE and are able to get pregnant again quickly!

After the first couple of months I got a really strong feeling that it was something with DH and it turned out that it is. I totally believe in intuition and sometimes we just know. That was one time I would LOVE to have been proven wrong!

When I was younger, I thought I would have trouble TTC. DH and I have known each other since I was 14 but weren't together the whole time. When we got back together just over 11 years ago, we thought we would not be able to have kids and my doctors agreed. I got pregnant within a few months. We started TTC again after my transplant when our son was almost 4. This time, we thought we'd have no trouble as I am now healthy and before we got pregnant easily when I was so sick. Well 6 years later, all we have to show for our efforts is 4 miscarried babies and tons of tears. I have a feeling you won't have much trouble once the reversal is done. Keep us updated and hopefully you'll have your BFP in no time!

First of all, you do belong here and we welcome you with open arms. Secondly, I am so sorry for the loss of your twins. That must have been a horrible experience for you.

As for me, I had one of my ovaries removed at 5 years old so for as long as I can remember I just knew I was going to have trouble concieving. Little did I know just how much trouble I would have. I found out that I had PCOS and uterine issues (relating to my ovary being removed at such a young age) and not having a fallopian tube on my remaining ovary. I really hope that you do not have any troubles and that your DH's reversal is a success. GL!

First, welcome to the group...sadly it is one club no one wants to be a member of!

Second, I am sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how horrible the road has been for you.

Third, I knew at 18 that I was going to have a problem with IF. The doctors told me that the chemo they used to put my leukemia in remission was going to cause sterility. I guess part of me just hoped I would be spared from the woes of the rest of the patients!!! Now I struggle with IF, 2 m/c, and the brutal 2ww...but one blessing I have found in all of this....all you ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome. I was a sufferer of IF for 11yrs due to male factors. My DH had a vasectomy when we met, and I still had no children. He went through the vasectomy reversal in November of 06' and it failed (I will email you some important info we weren't told about this). You definitely belong and will be welcomed with open arms in this group.

Welcome to DS! I know what you mean about having that feeling. I had really bad periods in high school and just kind of knew it would be hard to get pregnant. I told DH this when we were dating and that if he wanted kids , it might not happen with me. We haven't given up though. Good luck to you.

Strangely, I always felt I'd have trouble, despite having regular cycles. I even went so far as to go see a doctor at age 26 because I wanted to know if I should start TTC or go back to grad school. He told me to relax, go to school, I was young and not to worry. Fast forward four years when I started trying at age 30...and then to today...I'll be 34 in two weeks and no pregnancies yet. Women's intuition is something!

Welcome to the group! I remember when that grandmother carried her grandchild for her daughter. I asked my mom if she would ever consider doing that for me. She said of course. I was only in high school at the time. I have always known deep down that becoming a mommy was not going to be easy. I would put it in the back of my mind because I thought that the feelings were just because that was one thing I wanted more than anything. My mom got pg 6 times and had 6 healthy children. I should be like her right? Wrong! I think sometimes you just KNOW. IF has been the most painful journey ever for me. I have learned just how strong I am (although this is not the way I would have liked to have learned this :) ).

i always had a feeling it would be hard for me to have children. i used to tell my dh that all the time when we were first together. i don't know if it was intuition or if it was just that i knew my whole life i wanted to be a mom and life never seems to be that easy for me....sigh....i just want to be pregnant!
