All my life I've had to go through a lot of hardships, and alot of the time I wanted to give up. But I prevailed, and as I grew older one of the things that made me be strong enough to get through it all was the idea of a family, a baby who unconditionally loves me. I'm 30 now and married. I've suffered 3 miscarriages throughout my life, 2 prior to my marriage, 1 since I've been married. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past two years. 6 months ago we started seeing a fertility doctor. The first step was to test both of us on our fertility levels. Well, he passed with flying colors. The doctor actually called him Superman. I didn't. The doctor said that I would need the help if fertility drugs to have better chances of conceiving. Ok. That's easy right?. I started on femara. He also ordered a test to check for a hormone called prolactin. Well. I had high levels, which could indicate a tumor or be unexplained. Either way it can lower your chances of conceiving. Did an MRI, no tumor. And he prescribed cabergoline to lower the levels. Ok. Easy. He also upped the dose in femara. And set me up for the next test, my amh levels. To see my egg count. Well this is where things started getting not so easy. My amf level was 0.84.  it should have been in the range 2-4.8. so what did that mean, he said it meant I'm running out of time and it's time to get aggressive. He wanted to start iui treatments right away. I asked him how long we have, he said a year maybe. Here I was thinking we had years. But ok iui. We can do this. But he wanted one more test. To check my tubes. I got the hcg done. When I went in I didn't have high hopes. I lost hope. Every test had come back with bad results. Why would this be different. My husband was the forever optimist. Guess who was right. My tubes, well tube was open. The test couldn't detect a second time. And, my uterus was shaped differently. After that test the sadness really started settling in. We meet with the Dr, who told us his opinion on what it was but needed an MRI to confirm. I felt empty lying on that MRI table cause I knew what the doctor predicted would be true. And it was. I have a complete Bicornuate uterus, and on top of that I was both with only one fallopian tube. Combine that with low amf, Low fertility levels. And here I am. Broken. We got accepted into the infertility treatment center here in Hawaii. My first appt is in a couple days. The Dr said they'll probably measure the size of both parts of my uterus first. But either way if I can get pregnant it's high risk on all accounts. My husband is in denial, were constantly fighting. And I'm just.. Broken. And alone. So there it is.
