My sister in law was telling DH the other day that she had a friend who had multiple miscarriages but now has 2 girls. Her doctor told her that her body was rejecting the other babies because they were boys. Has anyone heard of a body rejecting a certain sex? It seems kind of strange to me but in the world of IF I guess anything is possible. Now DH is convinced that's our problem and we're going to have all girls some day. Who knows.

My sister in law has been pregnant 5 times and the only three that made it full term were girls. The closest she came to having a son was her 2nd child who was still born at 32 weeks.

Never heard of something this ridiculous??!!
I'd have to see medical proof to EVER come close to believeing this!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister's friend had this, and there have been studies. It's pretty rare, and not 100% conclusive. Her friend had a baby boy stillborn at about 6 months, then went on to have a healthy girl, and just recently had another stillborn boy at 5 months.

neer heard of this.
theres probably some chromosonal abnormality in the male sex.

it's not so bad to only have girls... thats all i can have :)

Don't get me wrong...I'd love to have all girls or all boys...it doesn't matter to me, I just want to be a mom! I really didn't think my sil knew what she was talking about but based on these responses I guess maybe it is a real thing!
