I've read posts in the past about Men's vitamins at GNC that are good for boosting fertility and helping sperm quality. I went to GNC today and there's so much there. I did buy one that sounded good but in the fine print it said that this product contains soybeans which i thought were bad for fertility.

Can anyone who's DH takes these vitamins let me know exactly which ones they are?

Just an opinion, I am in the nutrition field, any vitamin you or your husband takes is a good thing. When your body is getting all the vitamins it needs you are able to have all your organs, including reproductive, working better.

My RE recommended Fertility Blend for Men.
http://www.fertilityblend.com I know that they carry the FB for Women at GNC, but not sure about the men's version... We haven't bought any yet so I can't tell ya if it works :)

My DH jus started taking zinc. Its for healthy reproductive organs.

You are definitely supposed to stay away from soy as it may disturb thyroid function, decreasing fertility. Soy is a source of phytoestrogens, weak estrogens that can enhance or suppress natural estrogen production. Knowing whether you produce enough or too much estrogen on your own is a part of the diagnostic process in your fertility treatment. Confusing the matter with outside sources of estrogen (such as in soy) will do just that - confuse the matter.

You should also stay away from NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as motrin and ibuprofen. Furthermore, stay away from aspirin. If you need an over the counter pain reliever, use acetaminophen, such as Tylenol.

One more things, during fertility, we hear constant "studies" about what we should and should not do, what's good and what's not, etc. Err on the side of caution and take nothing. No herbs, potions or concoctions, no Men's vitamins, they're not made for you. Have your doctor prescribe you a pre-natal vitamin and please, stay away from all else.

Correction, I mis-read your post and thought it was YOU planning to take the Men's vitamins. Sorry for that, but at least now you know how soy can affect a woman. The rest of my post stands true.

I don't know about soy and boosting sperm quality, never heard that.

The soy is not a main ingrediant it was just in the fine print on the label and it concerned me. I know that a couple ladies posted they got a Men's vitamin at GNC and I was just wondering which one it was.

Ask a nutritionist, but they also talk a lot about antioxidants: Q10, L carnitinine, L arginine, Selenium, vitamin E, Zinc. A nutritionist friend told me to always take antiox with vitamin C. The Infertility Cure book has a section on mens preproductive health. Best of luck.
