Hi. I am a 39 year old, healthy female, with "more eggs than a normal 39 year old" and my husband is 38, with completely normal sperm. We have been TTC for the past 3 years and have been unsuccessful. We always said we were going to do IVF, but somehow here we are. We had 2 unsuccessful IUIs. In December, we had 14 eggs harvested. 12 more mature enough to fertilize. 10 actually fertilized. 8 survived the 5 day wait. 4 of those were healthy after genetic testing.
We just transferred one embryo on Friday. Had my hormone levels checked this am. Progresterone was at 16. Hoping for a postive test next Monday.

Lilie, we did a frozen transfer. Drink water before hand. I am a teacher and my bladder is stretched out since I don't have regular bathroom breaks, so the 10 oz they told me to drink 15 minutes before transfer was not enough. I had do drink another 20 and kept having an ultrasound to check the fullness of my bladder. Stay calm and busy the morning of. Don't stress! Baby dust to you all!
I am new here and just as you are, looking for support through our IVF journey. A little bit about myself...we have two beautiful children thatvwere conceived naturally and are trying for our third and final, God willing. We have been ttc for 2 years now. I have been pregnant twice naturally, both ending in miscarriage before 12 weeks. Since I am 37, and time is running out we decided to try fertility drugs. I've been on clomid, femara and ovidrel injections for 5 cycles of timed intercourse and now just had our first IUI. My RE was not optimistic about the IUI because my DH's count is extremely low. He immediately recommended we do IVF with ICSI and PGD next cycle. We never thought that this is where we would end up, but after everything we've been through the last 2 years I've come to accept this is the only way we may get our rainbow. I'm still in the 2ww right now from the IUI, but just feel that we have no shot at this working out naturally. I would love to hear how the IVF process works and how long it takes to get to the transfer stage. We go take our IVF class next week to learn more about this while process so I'm anxiously awaiting that too.
