This is our second failed ivf after 5 years of ttc. We got pregnant on our own in 2016 but heartbeat stopped at 8 weeks. When this happened, I told God that how much more can I take?
It's okay to grieve because it helps to heal but focus more energy in moving forward and don't stay down for too long. May the lord be with you.
My hubby and I have been trying for almost 4 years now with the help of IVF (FET) and so far have had 2 missed miscarriages (chemical) and 1 blighted ovum miscarriage.
I myself went through a similar experience in December last year with a diagnosed blighted ovum at 11 weeks, with baby not developing properly (I did not get to hear any heartbeat) and was presented with a D&C option by the Doctor. Eventually we opted to take oral medication to induce passing out of the gestational sac at home on new year's eve with the support of my hubby- what a "countdown" we had for 2018. Fast forward to present date. We have used up all frozen embryos from our FET round and it's back to the drawing board again. I feel like I have been living in a state of limbo for the longest time , experiencing living in Cloud 9 whenever we found out we had a positive test, and dragged back down into the pits of despair after finding out the pregnancy yet again cannot continue. It is difficult to remain in an optimistic mindset and always wondering when will be our time to celebrate out loud for sure. Please do not give up trying to conceive and stay strong. There are a lot of women out there going through the same exact struggle and here's to hoping that someday we all get to see the beautiful rainbow after the storm. xoxo
I am very lucky that I do have frozen embryos. We did ICSI and PGS testing, which is another reason i feel something is off with me that is just not being identified. I had a hysteroscopy to fix a complicated septum and remove pollops, four failed medicated IUIs after this. When we were waiting to start IVF is when I got pregnant the first time after two years of infertility, and I miscarried. I am fortunate that IVF egg retrieval was successful. I just am so scared that this could just keep happening. I had a tough recovery after the egg retrieval so I don't even think i could go down that path again.
Hi Leonora_Bear - Thank you for writing here. It has been so difficult functioning day to day at work and in "normal" life after this. it can be exhausting. I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages and struggles. That is so awful you had to go through that. Isn't it crazy the new experiences you get to have with your husband dealing with all of this? Sometimes we just look at each other and smile when we hear other couples complain about silly stuff. I will be wishing and praying for you both. You deserve to have this, and your beautiful rainbow. Best to you <3
