struggling with infertility since 2012.... three fresh and one frozen cycle failed with one dr. Went to another dr in 2014 went through another failed ivf cycle and then decided to stop for good. We moved to a beautiful home a year later. That same year every one of our friends and some of our family members new neighbor and old owners of our home were pregnant. We went to an adoption meeting and had our reservations. Just a couple months ago we decided to try ivf again. This Wednesday was our retrieval. The stimulation process seemed to be going well we were very hopeful this time. I went in for the retrieval and when I woke up was told that they weren't sure the generic hcg worked. There were no eggs in any of the follicles from the left ovary so they stopped the retrieval. They took blood work to confirm if the hcg levels were where they were supposed to be or if they should re-trigger. Later that day my dr called and said the levels were where they were supposed to be and chances are if we re-triggered there wouldn't be any follicles/eggs left by the time of the retrieval. She scheduled a follow up with us to discuss our options after she discussed our case with her colleagues at their monthly board meeting. I feel like my husband and I are so alone. No friends or family members we talk to understand. Don't know if we should bother to keep trying. So lost so sad..
