I am so sorry you are feeling left out. My best friend and I have been friends since we were babies and always wanted our kids to be around the same age. Recently her husband told her it is good she has other friends besides me. He told her he was glad because we have nothing in common and her other friends all have kids so they can do stuff together. We have been friends for more than 30 years and suddenly we have nothing in common in his eyes because I don't have kids.

this is just terrible and im sorry ur feelings are hurt by this. I hate when ppl around u just assume things about u bc ur going through IF. but just remember that chances are they are probably trying to protect u from being even more hurt by their good fortune, and are trying to spare u the guilt of feeling like u have to go and celebrate when u might not feel up to it.
I hope they start including u again, and acknowledge the fact that even if ur not up to somethings all the time its still nice to be asked.

I'm so sorry you weren't invited. IF changes so many aspects of your life, I hate that it can change our friendships as well.

I was worried that would happen to me when my BFF had her baby. But I told her that I may never have my own children and that I will have to spoil her baby rotten to compensate. I thought it would be hard seeing her baby, which it is a bit, but I am so overly happy for her and I love him so much already. She sends me pictures often and it warms my heart. I look at it as I get to be the Auntie that spoils him rotten and she's the one that loses sleep. :) Well at least it helps me get through the days. I would gladly lose sleep with my own don't get me wrong. Lately just trying to look at things differently so that I can be happier.
I'm sorry your friends left you out, but maybe you can talk to one of them about it so that they know how you feel. You could be the FUN Aunt too!!

I'm sorry! They were trying to be nice, but i understand it was hurtful. If you feel up to it you should make plans with your friend IF sucks!

So sorry. I know how it feels not to belong.All the women my husband and I know have kids. At these parties all they talk about are their babies. Im the black sheep with nothing to say. Its so hard no one trys to make it easy for us.End up with the men every time. :( your not alone its heartbreaking going through this and then on top of it being left out.

This is so tough and something we all have to deal with. I was asked by one a friend why my hubby and I don't double date with another couple. The other couple kindly said "well they dont have kids." I really think people try to shield us and protect us from hurting us bc of what we are going through. They really really do have our best interest at heart.
