Today, they took out 12 eggs! The nurse seemed happy with that number considering I'm almost 36. My husband provided a fresh sample and we ended up not needing to thaw any of his frozen samples! Tomorrow, they will call with how many fertilized and then we will have to wait and see how many grow to the blastocyst phase for freezing! Wish me luck that they grow! Hoping for at least two that makes it through the growing, genetic testing and freezing. Now, thankful for a few weeks of no meds before we start to prepare for a frozen embryo transfer.

I do! So from 12 eggs, 7 were mature. 5 fertilized and sadly only 1 grew enough to make it to the blastocyst phase. It did pass the genetic testing with flying colors! I wanted to do another retrieval right away but my insurance won't pay for another cycle of retrieval unless we put this embryo back in. We are lucky to have coverage at all and even with coverage, we have spent thousands. We will be doing a frozen embryo transfer at the end of october! We know the gender of the embryo but we aren't sharing with our family until we know the FET worked. I'm terrible at keeping secrets! I already slipped once. Trying not to get my hopes up because we only have 50-60% chances that the embryo will implant and begin growing. Cross your fingers for me!

Yes! Crossing my fingers for you! I'm terrified of the progesterone shots! I can handle the subcu shots in the belly but the intromuscular shots in the butt are going to suck!

Crossing my fingers for you girl! You have a very positive mood. And this is so great! I should learn this from you! I really hope it will work and you will have a baby! I'm only at the beginning of my journey. Though I'm not really decided yet about using donor eggs but still I really hope we will find option for us. Thank you all! Trying to keep my positive outlook. A good friend called tonight feeling really guilty and was afraid to tell me that she is expecting her second baby. I'm so happy for her and there's no reason for her to be worried to tell me but I'm glad that she was thinking of my feelings.

Anyway, I had bloodwork today to confirm ovulation and tonight, I had my first Lupron injection. We are prepping for my embryo transfer at the end of this month. I could be pregnant in less than 30 days! I just keep moving forward to that!
